Lincoln: Planning a life as a Newmarket Racecourse worker (England)?
I'm 15 and considering going to live in Newmarket (UK) and being a stable hand or possibly apprentice jockey, leading on to higher careers. Should I do a couple of years at a college doing equine studies instead of A-levels then go rent a flat in Newmarket and start work for them. Any ideas on what I should do about further education before work, accommodation, the job or extra ideas? Thanks!... 02 Dec 08, 09:12:04
Lincoln: Is finance a good career choice?
I am going to be a freshman in college and my declared major is going to be finance, but with all the economic problems going on, I'm just wondering, is the finance industry going to go down the tubes as well? I would be graduating from college around 2012-2013, if that helps.... 02 Dec 08, 08:12:37
Lincoln: What do you think? Just strange or really homeless?
I have been in a relationship with a man for 2 1/2 months and I have yet to see this man's home or family. He is very secretive about his career and will not discuss any part of how he makes money to live on. He carries gym bags and store plastic bags around with his belongings in it everyday that i've known him. And, since I am the woman his says he would like to spend the rest of his life with, I feel that I deserve to know more about his personal life, like he knows about mine. I do ask questions.
He first told me that he is a Basketball Recruiter that works 6 months out of the year and gets paid through out the year, then it decreased to 4 months out of the year, and that he... 02 Dec 08, 08:12:28
Lincoln: What can I do with a professional degree if I make the military a career?
I'm in the Reserve and was planning on doing ROTC and finishing my bachelor's at the same time, but now I'm thinking I'd like to stay in the Reserve a little longer to get a professional degree and do ROTC while I'm working on that. Apart from JAGs and Doctors, is there any other way I could use a professional degree in the Air Force, or is a Bachelor's all I need? If so, what degrees (in what subjects) would I need for what officer jobs? (I'm not thinking civilian since I do plan to stay in for my 20).... 02 Dec 08, 08:12:24
Lincoln: Will Amir Khan fight bums his whole career?
His fighting a fella called Oisin Faigan, who i have never even heard of.
Other than Willie Limmond, his opponents have been bums and the one decent fighter in Prescott, he gets knocked out under a minute.
Knowing Frank Warren and the way he makes the most rubbish fights and constrains fights to Britain , is there a future for Khan?... 02 Dec 08, 08:12:00

Lincoln: lebron should follow scottie pippen's path?
lebron james and scottie pippen are both small forwards while vince carter, kobe bryant, allen iverson, and dwayne wade are shooting guards.
it is said that if pippen didn't have jordan, he could had put up vastly superior stats and probably win a couple of rings by himself.
lebron, with a god-like complex, is a selfish player who likes to waste shot clock and better suited in a complementary role to a jordan .
if lebron ever move past his me-first mindset and start playing second-fiddle and teamball like pippen did instead of just piling up useless stats and killing the shot clock (and his teammates' stats and career) , maybe he could get a ring

Lincoln: Seeking career in Germany in Information Technology (IT)?
Well, I'm opening my mind to plenty of things for my future after HS. Right now, my two main career choices are either enlisting for the Marines, or getting a career in technology, computer programming, or engineering. I'm only a Junior in HS and I don't quite understand how everything works out, moving to another country.
What I would like to know, is this career path, possible for an person moving to Germany? I know they already have a huge unemployment rate.
My only other key concern would be learning German. I took it in 8th grade and loved it. Then when I got in HS, my parents made me take Spanish, due to the inceasing Spanish population in America. I do have the R... 02 Dec 08, 08:12:27
Lincoln: What type of career is right for me?
I can't even begin to imagine all the different career paths out there, which is my problem. I have no idea what to do or where to start. Any suggestions would be amazing! Heres a bit about myself...
I can't stand a 9-5 job..and I refuse to work at the mall. I'm completely passionate about helping people and have considered the medical field, but needles and blood make me pass out. I love doing volunteer work, and would volunteer my life away but unfortunately I need money to live. I love psychology, but feel that if I were to continue to get my bachelors and masters and become a therapist, I will only be able to help a select group of people. I also write and plan on writing... 02 Dec 08, 08:12:51
Lincoln: Help! I moved to a new state and can't find a job!!!?
I couple months ago I moved across the country to be with my long-term boyfriend. Everything has been great, and it's been the best thing I ever did for myself except with one little glich... I can't find a job here! Luckily I had saved up a little money and my boyfriend has been very understanding and supporting me through it, but I obviously don't want to rely on him the way I am right now forever. I feel so guilty that I haven't been able to find a job.
My career goal is to be a paralegal. I have obtained an Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies and before I moved I worked in a law office for 2 years. I have an excellent resume - several professionals in my field h... 02 Dec 08, 08:12:53
