Lincoln: Why does your credit score matter when you get a job?
My dream job is to work in a bank and I have yet to do so because of my credit. I personnally feel like if a person has bad or poor they should be just as eligible as a person with better credit. We all need jobs so we can make money. If I cant get a job to make money, how can these employers expect me to get my credit back on track?

Lincoln: Can you consolidate loans if you have bad credit?
I have an insane amount of student loans and since the economy went south, so did my chances of a job in that field that would have helped with repayment. I barely make any money as it is and now I have the student loan creditors after me and a person who cosigned one of my loans. This past year my credit went from great to horrible. I want to consolidate my loans in hopes of a smaller monthly payment, but someone mentioned that if you have bad credit it doesn't help. I've read other similar questions, but they don't seem to apply to me. I currently call myself the AA. Though other employees refer to me as the secretary when speaking to customers.
I work at a small business that has 8 employees. I handle all the A/P, A/R, billing and banking. I work with an accountant and CPA during tax season. I do answer phones as a receptionist would. I have decided to go back to school to receive my bachelors in Finance. The paperwork I have to fill our for reimbursement for schooling asks how Statistics directly relates to my current job or how it will enhance my potential for advancement at the bank.
