Leeds: What would you do in my situation (I'm pregnant)?
I am currently pregnant (4 months), and the baby is due on May 13, 2009. My fiance is planning on going back to school for Genetic M.A. (16 months) in September 2009. He is currently working at a lab for cord blood bank. He is living in his parents' empty house - his parents are outside of the country living/working. His mom come here for the summer holiday (2 months), and 2 weeks winter holiday (she's a teacher). My fiance want me to move into his house - once the baby is due. I don't want to live in his house, since his mom will be there during all the holidays. I never really felt comfortable with her. I think it is a bad idea living even for a month with a mother-in...

Leeds: Whats all the screaming about the BIG 3 all about?
We have our priorities all screwed up --- it is not the BIG 3 that is to blame, it is the mortgage companies and banks that got us into this mess. At least the BIG 3 make jobs, all the banks and mortgage companies do is make money out of thin air and keep us in debt. o $800 billion to support mortgage consumer debt o $100 billion for Fannie Mae o $100 billion for Freddie Mac o $150 billion for Stimulus package (from January) o $8 billion for Indymac o $29 billion for Bear Stearns o $ 700 billion for Wall Street ( Bank of America; Merrill Lynch, City Group, JP Morgan, Washington Mutual, Wells Fargo; Wachovia, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs...) o $143.8 Billion for AIG ( which keeps ...

Leeds: Does anyone know the answers to these questions ? They are for my Business Law class... Thanks?
TRUE / FALSE 1) The words I promise to sell my house for $50,000 constitute an offer. 2) The promisor's intention that his or her promise be legally binding is not required for the formation of a contract. 3) The statement, I promise to buy from you all the coal that I need in my business next year constitutes an offer which is reasonably definite. 4) Not all terms of an offer need be expressed. Some may be implied. 5) If a contractual performance becomes illegal after the offer has been accepted but before the performance has been rendered, the offer is terminated. MULTIPLE CHOICE 6) Informal contracts include A) Letters of credi...

Leeds: moving back home, wont have a job, should i pay off my credit card or save my money..?
i have aboug 4 thousand saved up, i just sold about 2 thousand dolors worth of stuff on ebay, and i have something on there now that if it sells ill get a thousand for. should i use that money from ebay to pay off my 2k in credit card debt or should i just save it in case that crap hits the fan, when i get back home i have a free place to stay, if i pay it off ill probably go home with 4 grand, if i save it ill go home with about 6 grand, and that seem comforting to know i would have that much in the bank. i pay about 100 a month on the credit card.. so that would save me 100 a month.. and i can cut out my cell phone bill and save another 60 a month.. so...

Leeds: Do you like my romance/drama short story so far?
It's about a girl who's boyfriend dies & she runs away to new york. She then meets a boy named rider.. her lifes never the same. Behind every tragedy lies a savior, everything happens for a reason and there is a greater plan. I know all of this is true because of the events that took place this past year. It all began that one day… Before that day my life had been perfect. I had a loving family who always supported me, I had great friends, I had perfect grades and overall a life many girls dreamed of. But none of this could ever compare to the best part of my life which was my amazing boyfriend, Devin. Devin and I had been dating since grade 6, it had been 4 years. He a...

Leeds: Say what?!?! They get paid for not working?
I so-ho-ho don't get this. Maybe an auto worker can clue me in on how this works. I just read this: United Auto Workers President Ron Gettelfinger said the union will suspend the jobs bank, in which laid-off workers are paid up to 95 percent of their salaries while not working, but he did not give specifics or a timetable of when the program will end. EXCUSE ME??? They get PAID while they're not working? They get laid off, and they still get a check (good golly, it makes ya wish for a lay-off, I guess!). I don't know anyone who gets paid once they've been laid off. Perhaps there's another part of the story that didn't come through in t...

Leeds: Does anyone know how long can a UAW stay in the job bank?
Seems like I heard 7 years, but don't know if that is correct. United Auto Workers President Ron Gettelfinger said the union will suspend the jobs bank, in which laid-off workers are paid up to 95 percent of their salaries while not working, but he did not give specifics or a timetable of when the program will end....

Leeds: Where can i find business professional attire for a plus size woman?

Leeds: I graduated college and can not find a job and considering working in the military. Should I?
I graduated in a degree in Economics. I live in NYC and can not find a job because of the trouble with all the banks. I have gone THOUSANDS of dollars in debt because of no job and losing money. Only thing I could do is work in day trading and if this wont work (which it hasnt yet, lost 700 bucks in about a month so far) I'll be rock bottom. At least I think the Marines or Army might take me in, perhaps into an officer program? What do you guys think, especially anybody ever in the service. What pay can I roughly expect. Thanks....
