I have a friend who is on probation for a misdemeanor conviction. He will be on probation for 2 years. How likely would he be able to obtain a job with either a local city government, state (Florida) or federal employment?
He is a former Marine who served in Iraq and has no previous job experience.

Keswick: I Need To Earn About $500 A Week For The Next 7 Months?
I'm hoping to go on a student exchange trip in August of next year, as this is my last chance to go on a student exchange trip as I am almost in my last year of school.
All up the trip is going to cost about $15000, including my personal spending money and preparations for the trip.
I am a 17 year old female.
I have a part time job at the moment, working 4 hours a week, earning $12 an hour.
I receive government benefits of about $50 a week.
I have some ideas of having a garage sale, going to a local market, selling things on ebay.
But apart from that, I think I need a miracle to earn the amount of money I'm after.

I watch the Al-Jazeera news about the number of homeless people that's growing in numbers in the United States due to high rates of joblessness.The foreclosures of housing and realastates is sky rocketing at this period that forces the locals to leave their houses.To tell you the truth,i'm shocked to see and hear what had happened in United States today.The tent cities in every states is growing like a refugee camp which reminds me of the Katrina hurricane victims but this time it's a very different kind of Katrina that is hitting the whole nation.It also reminds me of the homeless people that lives in camps such as in Iraq.I guess it's pretty hard to live in America nowd...

Keswick: Malaysia safer than Hong Kong and Japan?
Malaysia is a relatively safe country, said Federal Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Mohd Bakri, as there are 772 crime cases for every 100,000 residents in Malaysia.
Singapore recorded 704 cases, Hong Kong 1,166 cases, Japan 1,569 and Australia 4,470 cases, he said.The government has started pouring resources into crime prevention, with almost RM6 billion allocated in next year's Budget to recruit more personnel and buy better equipment.

I am about 1 month away from finding employment that will accommodate my disability so that I can support myself and my 2 children. However I am very behind in my bills - phone and power being the 2 bills, I find it hard to pay my weekly rent and I am currently not on any government assistance for anything other than food stamps and Medicaid for my children. I also am a insulin dependent diabetic and have high blood pressure and take medicine for that however I receive medication from a funded program for individuals with low income.
