Jersey: Can I take a personal loan using collaterall?
I have fallen behind in my student loan and credit card payments. I have a credit rating of 500. I own a mobile home, it is fully paid for. It is a 1963, but if very good shape. I paid 33,000 for it :but homes of the same year but smaller sizes have sold in the same community for 50,000 ( in other words I am not sure of the real value ).
I am now making regular payments on the student loan but I am very far behind on the credit card.
Long story short the credit card company has offered to let me pay half the amount to settle the dept ( 6,000 ) and I would like 4000 to catch up on car repairs, and other bills. I am looking for 10,000.
Is it possible tp put up this mobile home as collat... 22 Nov 08, 12:11:45
Jersey: Can I get someone's help, please?
I'm 19 years old, and I attend at an art college. I've been here for a year now and I am happy being here. I know people keep saying that I should just go on and get a degree, but...I never saw myself going to college for a few reasons. I pretty much been the person who always like to draw and tinker with other things on my own, in other words, I enjoy teaching myself on my hobbies.
Ever since I came to this art college I am in, something told me that this wasn't for me, that and I felt pressured to go. Yeah, I would've dropped out earlier, but you kind of know how parents are when they are the ones who's paying for it. Due to a few withdraws, a few bad grades, an... 22 Nov 08, 11:11:45

Jersey: What would you do if you were me?
I am living with this guy who is years older than me and we are planning on getting married. I am a student in school and he is on SSI. Right now I work a part time job and go to school everyday, and take care of my daughter. Once we are married and I start working in my degree field his SSI will be cut off and I will be the only one working and bringing in money. Now he don't have his High School diploma or his GED, and I have been asking him to for the whole time we have been engaged and he keep saying that he will but then make excuses about why he don't want to. His excuses are usually about something that happened in the past with his ex wife and how she discouraged him from d... 22 Nov 08, 08:11:58
Jersey: Is this normal? - Boyfriend vs. outside guy help... ?
Okay, I have been with my boyfriend just under a year.
Right before we started dating, there was a guy I started to go after. I had been single the 3 years before this. The guy told me no.
Well, the more guy two, lets call him S started hanging out with me, the more I realized we probably wouldn't make a good match. We struggle to find conversation, etc. But we have remained friends, not very close, just more like acquaintences. We go to the same country club and dance together, etc. But don't talk much outside of that except an occasional email. I do find him completely attractive.
Anyway, I started dating guy one D in Jan. We are VERY close, be... 22 Nov 08, 08:11:43
Jersey: My friend is pissing me off...what to do with him?
So there's this guy I know and we've been friends since high school. He's a really fun dude to hang out with, but the bad thing about him is that he's a bum. He doesn't have a job and hasn't had one for at least 7-8 months. When I ask him why, he always tells me that it's because the economy is terrible (he's only 18 years old!), which is complete BS. He's just too lazy to look. He also doesn't have a car.
So because of all of this, he always try to mooch money or a ride off of me. I used to help him out because I THOUGHT he was looking, but now I just lie and say I'm broke or I don't even answer my phone. But what pisses me off... 22 Nov 08, 08:11:16
