Italy: Is there an online resource for beginning teachers who are relocating?
I'm about to graduate in a couple of weeks, and I'm seriously considering taking a job offer to teach secondary English a few hours away in a small town that I have never even visited. I can't afford to wait around for an opening in my county or any of the surrounding ones. My concern is that I'm moving to a new place with a new job in the dead of winter (ours is not a warm climate). It's a small town, so of course there are no apartment listings online. Would it be considered appropriate to ask the personnel department at the board office if they know of any available places to rent? When I do finish my student teaching and visit the area, I'll be able t...

Italy: Where do i stand-redundancy?
I was given my notice of redundancy in UK on 20/11/08, but been told I have to work til 31st December to get my pay out. I don't understand this as surely if my job no longer exists why have i got to sit their and still do it?? I don't actually believe my job no longer exists though-its all about cost cutting-they will just pass my work on to other people to do on top of their day-Is this right? Also, I worked in the day but if I choose now to take evening work also while i continue to work up to my notice. Will I still get my pay out? Also if I find another job (in the day) from now til 31st December can i leave & still get my pay out? I have read online redundancy ...

Italy: Am I quietly losing the game of life?
Okay, I'm going to try and fit as much of this in here as possible: I'm twenty years old, have a semester of college under my belt (took some gen-eds), drove across the country to california over the summer, and my transmission died. No problem, it was great. I had a blast. After staying there for a couple of months I caught a plane back to my hometown, and now I'm living with my aunt who i think is having some sort of mid life crisis. Unfortunately, I have nowhere else to go right now, but that's fine. I'm dealing with it. For the most part she just drinks wine and talks about conspiracy theories , and I ignore her. Since I cant afford another...

Italy: How do I get my first Job on an oil rig?
I'm trying to get an entry level position on an oil rig. I'm currently located in Houston, TX I don't have any previous working experience, but I've completed a Pre-employment floorhand training program at a school accredited by the IADC. My first choice would be on a Land rig, because the instructor said typically guys on land rigs move up the ranks faster than offshore because there is a higher employee turnaround rate. Also I would like to stay in the us, and in TX Both of the preferences listed above are just that... preferences, I'm still open too other oppurtunities as well, because my first priority is getting the first job so I can have some experi...

I am currently at university in their accommodation. This means even at home I am going through the uni's internet even though live off campus. Their internet blocks all forms of messenger however I work online since I can't work in person for medical reasons and a part of my job involves working with a chat suite that the uni is recognising as a messenger. How can I get round this? No it's a downloadable chat suite. I've downloaded it okay but it won't let me sign in...

Italy: Is Intex a trustworthy brand for Air beds?
I'm looking to buy an affordable, comfortable and reliable air bed, I stumbled across this: http://www.amazon.com/66754-AC-COMFORT-REST-ZIPPERED-STANDARD-HAND-HELD/dp/B000DZB4ZM/ref=sr_1_25?ie=UTF8&s=miscellaneous&qid=1227340920&sr=8-25 Which seems to do the job perfectly. It's a queen sized, raised air bed, including pump for around $35. Sounds too good to be true, but its from amazon so a discount price is expected. But my dad bought an Intex air bed for around $99, after about a month we discover a leak... So I need a secovd opinion.. I'm purchasing online so I can't simply return it.. Will this bed be: durable and comfortable?...
