Italy: Applied to Target and got an interview until they said i am nonrehireable?
I worked at Target about seven years ago and thought I did a great job- I had nearly open availability, worked independently without supervision and gave two weeks notice when I had to move about six months after I started.
The only thing is I had to go home sick one day and I actually went straight to the ER, and another day I called in because I felt horrible. Later on I found out I had ovarian cysts that were causing the pain.
Now, seven years later I am a college grad and have had a great employment record with only two companies since. I applied at Target for a part-time job and the lady called me for an interview but when I called back she was always busy.... so one day I just ... 04 Dec 08, 05:12:53

I have been asking alot of questions, this one outlines my situation

But you don't need to read all that. The basic thing is I signed an employment contract starting next February. However the contract says absolutely NOTHING zip zero zilch about consequences of terminating the contract. The contract also does not refer me to anywhere else where the rules for early termination might be outlined.
Does that mean if I decide I don't like the job and end the contract now (before it has begun) that due to there being no clause in it about penalties of ending the contract the... 04 Dec 08, 02:12:45

Italy: Which sector of IT would be most suited to me?
I have about 2 years worth of IT helpdesk support experience on both the software and hardware sides, and I'm looking to change sectors within IT as I'm not enjoying the helpdesk side at all - not enough training, hands-on experience, job satisfaction answering all calls all day etc.
What I would like to know is, what other areas within the IT employment sector are open to me and which areas are the best to get into in terms of the current IT climate, job satisfaction and career prospects?
I have done a degree in electronic/ computer engineering, so I have done some C++ programming although I was never great at it.
Can someone advise me on what to do?
Thanks!... 03 Dec 08, 10:12:22

Italy: When will we start drug testing senior executives?
It seems like most of the jobs that drug test you are the ones where you've constantly got people riding your ass. Italy: False record on file at the Clerk of Courts has costed me employment opportunities, do I have any recoarse?
I had a Domestic Violence charge back in 2001 that was reduced to a disorderly conduct, minor misdemeanor. I did not know until now that I had a record on file for the world to see until I needed to get a job. I have been turned down and lost job opportunities for the last year and have now lost my home to bankruptcy since I could not gain employment due to this record on file that is incorrect. The record on file says I was charged with a minor misdemeanor for Domestic Violence / Assualt when it actually should depict the true charge of disorderly conduct, minor misdemeanor. My question here is...Can I sue the Clerk of Courts for filing a wrongful conviction that has cost me everything? ... 03 Dec 08, 09:12:19
