Isle Of Skye: break up advice, please!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Me and my boyfriend have been together 2 years. He broke up with me yesterday. The reason why is because im from a christian family and im not able to do a lot of the things he wants me to im 18 years old but I still do live at home and I also don't wanna have to change my values and morals for him to stay with me. The thing is he wants more time alone with me. Something we don't really get very often, he wants to see me more also but Im in college full time right now and when im not in school im at work par time and then I attend church, god is a really big part of my life. He also want marriage and kids but im not ready for that. He says he won't wait more than a year. And ... 03 Dec 08, 09:12:25
Isle Of Skye: Social anxiety is preventing me from going to college or getting a job?
Maybe you can help me. I'm 19 and finished high school in June. I have solid SAT scores and graduated in the top quarter of my class.
I have social anxiety from years of being bullied in my classes. I am now very distrustful of people and their presence makes me nervous. I have a few friends I see sparingly. They now have jobs or go to university. I sleep all day and spend my nights on the computer, and leave my house perhaps once a week to buy tobacco.
When I am forced to appear in front of a group, I become flushed and my voice stutters. I shake uncontrollably and start to feel sick. During school I failed many presentations because I would skip them entirely. I also feel this w... 03 Dec 08, 09:12:04
Isle Of Skye: What would you do if you were ME?
I'm just looking for honest advice, and for answerers to put themselves in my shoes for one second and tell me what THEY would do, if they were ME.
So, I just turned 29 on Saturday. Two years ago, I graduated from ISU with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science. I currently work at a job with no future, making 12 dollars/hour. I understand that the economy is in a crisis, but I have always been an over-achiever, and have always had big plans for my life. Mainly, I want to help people in need and I just want to be successful. I have no girlfriend, children or anything to tie me down, so moving away is another possibility.
So if you were me, and you were at this point in your li... 03 Dec 08, 07:12:20
Isle Of Skye: I need relationship help..before its too late?
I have never needed help so much in my life. I have been in a relationship for over a year and I need to get out before its too late. All my life I have wanted to date this boy I went to school with and before we graduated he finally saw the light and decided that I was the only one for him. Ever since he has been convinced that we are soulmates and has already asked me to marry him because he is convinced that we were meant to have a family and spend the rest of our lives together. For a little while I believed all of that too, but I started to recognize a trend. I have worked and gone to classes since the beginning of my freshman year in college, so I know what its like to be working on a ... 03 Dec 08, 07:12:07
Isle Of Skye: programs or aid for hospital debt?
Hi im a 22 year old regular guy with a part time under the table job as a cook. I have a 1 yr old son and am currently an engineering student at a very well known university. I have managed to rack up abt 7,000 dollars in hospital debt over the past 3 years from a number of incidents(mostly pneumonia), in which they had to take blood work and cat scans. I had no insurance, and now the collection agency wont stop calling me. Im flat broke.
Does anyone know abt any type of government or non government funded program or charity that can take care of this for me, or in any way keep the collectors at bay 'till i graduate?
thanks in advance... 03 Dec 08, 07:12:07

Can someone please help me answer a few questions?

2) How long does financial aid take to process?
3) I graduated High School, I'm 18 years old, and i don't have a job. Can Financial aid work for me still? I'm still living with my dad.

Isle Of Skye: Is there alternative financial aid? I have 6mo left until Graduation and I'm broke!?
I am a nursing student. I am graduating in June. My husband is a contractor and we have 2 young children. Business is BAD for my husband's business. I am receiving financial aid to pay for my tuition but I have no money to pay for our bills all of the sudden. We just need to make it through winter and until I graduate. I don't know what to do. Our credit is not super great. We own our home and have other bills. My husband has nothing scheduled and is even putting job applications in for a real job. Does anyone know of any companies that give alternative loans to not-so-great credit individuals? I'm desperate to make it to graduation.... 03 Dec 08, 06:12:13
Isle Of Skye: Should I go to Korea for 6 months to teach English?
I'm graduating in 2 weeks with a degree in accounting and finance. I am having a hard time finding a job. I do have a temporary investment accountant job I've been working on for 11 months now but my contract with this company will end in February 09 so than I don't have a job. With the current economy I'm having a HARD TIME finding a job in Investments. I have an offer to teach english in South Korea. Should I go to Korea for 6 months and teach english? The money's good and paid housing and I also love traveling so this would be a good opportunity for me. My only concern is will Employees hire me if they see that I have a half year gap in my accounting practice? I w... 03 Dec 08, 05:12:18
Isle Of Skye: Is there an Army postgraduate school?
I am on ROTC scholarship for the Army at Purdue. Right now I'm an International Affairs and Linguistics major with a double minor in Russian and Arabic. I am trying to pipeline myself for M.I. or Psyop and eventually transition into a government intelligence agency. I want to make sure I have a good chance of actually landing a job for one of the agencies and so I am looking to obtain a master's degree after Purdue. The Naval Postgraduate school offers a master's degree in Information Warfare which would be especially pertinent to my intended career path. Does anyone know if the Army has an equivalent institution in which I could get a military master's degree? Is it poss... 03 Dec 08, 05:12:36
Isle Of Skye: Is getting a Masters worth it?
I'm on my way to my Bachelors in Computer Science, with the intent of becoming a programmer of some sort, possibly in security, or systems. My University offers a program where you can start your Masters degree as an undergrad, so I could probably graduate with a Masters after only 5 total years of school. However, the general trend I've heard from talking to programmers and browsing qualifications for jobs is that experience is much more important than education.
So is spending and extra year or two in school and earning a masters degree a good use of my time, or would an extra year or two of work experience be more valuable? Will earning my Masters help me get my foot in th... 03 Dec 08, 04:12:54
