Isle Of Skye: Need help with writing Christmas cards for hospitalized Vets...?
I am writing Christmas cards for Vets that are in the hospital. This is something that I am participating in for my job's charity project. I plan to do at least 25 cards but if I can get a lot of good suggestions I would love go above and beyond that! I don't know religion or circumstances so please keep that in mind. I want to be able to write things that will mean a little something to the person that will be getting it. So far I am thinking a Christmas quote followed by an ending remark like warmest wishes... Please help me with suggestions....

Isle Of Skye: programs or aid for hospital debt?
Hi im a 22 year old regular guy with a part time under the table job as a cook. I have a 1 yr old son and am currently an engineering student at a very well known university. I have managed to rack up abt 7,000 dollars in hospital debt over the past 3 years from a number of incidents(mostly pneumonia), in which they had to take blood work and cat scans. I had no insurance, and now the collection agency wont stop calling me. Im flat broke. Does anyone know abt any type of government or non government funded program or charity that can take care of this for me, or in any way keep the collectors at bay 'till i graduate? thanks in advance...

Isle Of Skye: What should I ask for christmas?
Im 16, my mom is demanding I tell her. I have a job, so I pretty much bought everything I have wanted. Im not spoiled, I donated a lot of money to charity for school today (50 dollars) cause I used to be very poor, and I know what it was like to get nothing for christmas. Anyway, it needs to be between 100-200 dollars a little higher wont matter. So what are you asking for? What are your kids asking for? P.S. I will be putting 100 towards it, so once again dont tell me to leave it up to my parents. Thanks ahead of time....

Isle Of Skye: Charity ideas... ?
I would like to start giving more to charity and doing more for others and the earth. My husband has a good job, I don't work, but we have been lucky enough to of won some cash a few years ago when our twins were born... and we feel that we have enough... plus more, and would like to reach out to families that are in need. What are some good charities to give both money and actual items to? Also, we were looking into supporting a child from a third world country... what's a good place to start with that process? My kids are still very young and I want to start teaching them the importance of giving before they become the care-less teenagers we all used to be!...

Isle Of Skye: Is accepting government handouts the new law of the land?
A lot of people have lost their pride. That is why welfare food stamps and all the other handouts are bankrupting this country. Why is it my responsibility to provide anyone with medical insurance when there are free charity hospitals all over the country for people to go to that don't have insurance? Why is it my responsibility to provide for your 15 kids when you don't even have a job? Why is it my responsibility to feed you prime rib that I see people using their food stamps to pay for when I work my butt off making 80 to 100k per year and I have to be frugal in the way I feed my family? Why is it that I have grossed 81k so far this year but have only brought home 55k after taxe...

Isle Of Skye: I asked God to make me rich years ago, how come you think this hasn't happened yet?
I'm tired of having these dead end jobs. I want to have the good life. Besides, I told God if he blesses me with a lot of wealth. I'll return the favor as a promise to him with donations, charities, and helping out the poor. Plus, along with that, I'll have more time to enjoy life because I won't have to work as much, I can enjoy time with family and friends instead of being on the paper chase trying to work so many hours and school in order to get out of debt and pay my short term and recurring bills off. Yes, the paper chase has taken away my social life. I'm a real likeable person too, it's a shame though I can't spend time and have family and friends en...

Isle Of Skye: argh! help! bit of a career problem, do i go into designing/art or into medicine? any advice?
you see, i'm in a bit of a dilema. i'm stuck between persuing a career in becoming a doctor or one in creative art and design. i'm going to be choosing my a-levels soon and i need to have some sort of idea as to what to do later so that i don't close doors to a certain career and choose wisely coz there aint no turnin back. as you can see i'm torn between 2 end of the spectrum. medicine or design. my heart or my head. i really want to become a doctor so that i can help people and save lives. but then i really want to do designing and stuff because i really enjoy it and i'm good at that kind of stuff and maybe if i'm really successful i can donate lots of ...
