Ipswich: Advice on a bad background investigator please...?
Ok here's the deal. I've posted before at the disappointment I've discovered with law enforcement hiring practices but I figured one more try couldn't hurt. My final attempt at this field is with a metro type police job and here's what happened. Passed the civil, oral, poly, and waiting on the background. The first parts took under a week. The site for the department clearly states 8-12 week process to hire. I took the civil service test August 1st... I feel my background investigator is botching this last chance for me in this area and here's why.
More then a month after the initial testing I finally receive one call from him and he tells me it's started ... 03 Dec 08, 08:12:53

Ipswich: United kingdom National insurance number ?
i want to apply national insurance number because i will apply a job here, i am not a UK citizen, i am a foreigner, another EU country's citizen.
(1) People told me it is the employer's duty to make national insurance contribution for employees and deal with all things connected to this, ie: to fill in the national insurance number form annually. is it correct?
(2) people told me a Spanish who worked in the Uk before and the employer dealt with all things with national insurance matters for her, but after she left the Uk (she lives in a host family) and back to her home country, the host family still gets the form from National insurance office every year because the Spanish wa... 03 Dec 08, 07:12:34

Ipswich: How do I get over the anger at the other woman?
So I'm 30 years old. I met my ex-fiance when I was 19. When we were 27 he got a new job. I knew there was a woman at work who liked him but we had a great relationship, a beautiful, healthy daughter, I took good care of myself, so I wasn't worried. I've never been the type of girl to hound a guy, I just figured it would be okay. Plus, I knew she was a mormon, her mormon sister-in-law babysat my daughter everyday after school. I just thought that he would ever do anything and I thought for SURE she wouldn't do something like that. Well I was wrong because when I was 28 he left me and our daughter and married the mormon girl less than 6 months later. Well I don't rea... 03 Dec 08, 06:12:28

Ipswich: Low anemia level? Discharge from military?
Hey, I leave for Basic Combat Training (BCT) in the near future. I just found out my anemia level is a little low, I read this could cause them to discharge me during Basic!? Is this ture? My Doc. said it's most likely caused by thalassemia (family history, but not tested for and don;t want to be) I'm capable of doing my job. Worst case scenario, if I do get discharged, will it be honorable? Will it prevent me from working in Law Enforcement or in the Government for the future?... 03 Dec 08, 05:12:58
Ipswich: Should i go to law school?
I'm taking my lsat this week. I think i can do ok on it. If i don't ill just take it again. Im from U of Michigan. I can probably get into somewhere decent. But it seems like everyone in law school hates it and is not really getting that great of jobs or jobs at all. Being a lawyer doesn't seem as fun as it seems on tv either. Should I just find another career path. I feel like I could be successful doing something else without having thousands of dollars in loans.... 03 Dec 08, 05:12:08

1) I was outside at some kind of flea market, but it was very nice like mall but outside rather. I was looking at Nail polish in a box. I saw samples and i wanted to take some. I was also with people i didn't know but i somehow in my head i was thinking they were my friends and i knew them. other than that, i wasnt susposed to be at the little flea market. Ipswich: What exactly does an arrest on my record mean?
I got arrested for something minor that was blown out of proportion. I was driving a vehicle that was reported stolen, but it was a rental car that I kept longer than the return date. Originally they called it Grand Theft Auto when I was arrested, and then that was thrown out, and was reduced to Vehicle Embezzlement (which is more of a soft white-collar crime, according to the detective I spoke to). To make a long story short, I told the truth on everything, paid all of my fees, and the case never went to court. It was dismissed. I thought I'd maybe at best get a misdemeanor. But even that didn't happen. So technically I have a clean record (never been convi... 03 Dec 08, 02:12:41
