Yeah, parenting my 42 year old mother, i'm 22 years old, i live in costa rica. I go to the university of costa rica. There's so many reasons why I can't leave home, but pretty much it's because everything here is really close by, and my grandfather doesn't want me to leave my mother alone.
My whole situation is this: my grandfather lives by himself(grandma died 3 years ago), and i believe my mother has borderline personality disorder.

Ipswich: Questions about Arabic...Egypt study/teach abroad?
I am currently in college and I will graduate in December 09' or Spring 10' with a degree in Spanish and Law & Justice. After I graduate, I want to learn Arabic before applying for a job in law enforcement. I want to spend about a year abroad teaching or volunteering (I am thinking about doing this through an organization). Does anyone have any suggestions as to good organizations, preparation, and specific countries or cities? I was thinking about Egypt, since the Arabic spoken there is more widely understood and it seems safe....

so, i recently moved in with my boyfriend of only 4 or so months, and tonight i have had a vision, a very distinct idea of how i can really be happy in my life. in it i was living in a bigger city, i believe it was nyc though i've never really been that fond of the city, and i had certain types of friends, a certain type of lover, i was happy and i felt very at peace with myself. the vision was a few years from now, after graduating from college and living on my own. i can't say for sure what job i held, but i know that i felt content, and i felt i had made my life as it was.

I have a friend who recently told me (quite suddenly) that he was going to drop out. He's 16 by the way. When I asked him why he said: Because im never gonna pass. Im never gonna graduate and ill never amount to anything anyway. So im gonna get the hell out of here and go looking for a job in another state. Ill live in a box till i can get a roomie.
Is there anything I can do? I don't want to see him throw his life away.

Can someone, please, help me with this question: How can a recent graduate with bachelor's of science in respiratory therapy join the army as as a respiratory therapist? What training that person has to go through (boot camp, or something else?)?
