Ipswich: Need Some Friend Advice?
I've known this girl at work for a year and a half and we have always been close despite the age difference. This summer we became best friends and started hanging out frequently. However a couple months ago someone who no longer works with us started some drama between the two of us and when I got mad about it and apolized to her for getting upset she blew it up and believed what the other girl said about me thanking she was a horrible friend(which I didnt or I wouldnt be trying so hard to make things right) due to her history of friends backstabbing her and said that she couldnt trust me and that I acted like a teenager and we needed to quit hanging out and just be friends at work. Sh...

Ipswich: I'm so tired of parenting my 42 year old mother...advice please?
Yeah, parenting my 42 year old mother, i'm 22 years old, i live in costa rica. I go to the university of costa rica. There's so many reasons why I can't leave home, but pretty much it's because everything here is really close by, and my grandfather doesn't want me to leave my mother alone. My whole situation is this: my grandfather lives by himself(grandma died 3 years ago), and i believe my mother has borderline personality disorder. She has always been extremely immature, until this days, she always makes some huge drama if someone doesn't give her what she wants, i have to stop studying to make her something to eat, she throws parties in the house a nig...

Ipswich: Questions about Arabic...Egypt study/teach abroad?
I am currently in college and I will graduate in December 09' or Spring 10' with a degree in Spanish and Law & Justice. After I graduate, I want to learn Arabic before applying for a job in law enforcement. I want to spend about a year abroad teaching or volunteering (I am thinking about doing this through an organization). Does anyone have any suggestions as to good organizations, preparation, and specific countries or cities? I was thinking about Egypt, since the Arabic spoken there is more widely understood and it seems safe....

Ipswich: an incredibly long and involved question for opinions?
so, i recently moved in with my boyfriend of only 4 or so months, and tonight i have had a vision, a very distinct idea of how i can really be happy in my life. in it i was living in a bigger city, i believe it was nyc though i've never really been that fond of the city, and i had certain types of friends, a certain type of lover, i was happy and i felt very at peace with myself. the vision was a few years from now, after graduating from college and living on my own. i can't say for sure what job i held, but i know that i felt content, and i felt i had made my life as it was. its great, i definitely want it to work out, but it makes me feel like i need to start changing things n...

Ipswich: How can I keep my friend in high school?
I have a friend who recently told me (quite suddenly) that he was going to drop out. He's 16 by the way. When I asked him why he said: Because im never gonna pass. Im never gonna graduate and ill never amount to anything anyway. So im gonna get the hell out of here and go looking for a job in another state. Ill live in a box till i can get a roomie. Is there anything I can do? I don't want to see him throw his life away. I promise you he wasn't joking. The box part, sure, but he's seriously thinking of dropping out. He's mentioned it a couple times before when he was down but this time it's for real. Plus if you knew him, you'd know this wa...

Ipswich: Finding a technical writing job?
I am an Industrial Engineer, and one of my strongest points is my writing, especially when it is a technical paper. Are there any jobs available that pay well for technical writers, especially with the economy right now? I am afraid that I won't get a job at all when I graduate in Spring 2009 because a lot of companies are having hiring freezes (and I am not an honor roll student). Any advice would help, thanks!...

Ipswich: How can a respiratory therapist (RT) become Military RT?
Can someone, please, help me with this question: How can a recent graduate with bachelor's of science in respiratory therapy join the army as as a respiratory therapist? What training that person has to go through (boot camp, or something else?)? I only know this (quote from the army website) Job training for a Respiratory Specialist consists of nine weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and 16 to 54 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field. What do these trainings mean in detail? Do RTs work at the hospitals here in the US or they are, actually, being deployed together wit...
