Ipswich: How do you land a good job in marketing/advertising/branding when your resume is predominantly business/sales?
I need some advice. I have always wanted to be in the creative field but it seems I have gotten myself into an inadvertant jam. I began college as a double major in interior design and business with visions of being a business savvy designer, but no one told me how pretty much impossible trying to do both of those AND play college volleyball AND try to work...so something had to give and it had to be interiors due to time and being a poor college student who couldn't hardly afford supplies.
I graduated with my marketing/biz degree and worked my way up to a pretty good gig in business/sales. Being that I am a 20something who deals with consulting area top CEOs all day and works wit... 28 Nov 08, 07:11:26
Ipswich: Is my GF being selfish and using me in our relationship? Or am I over expecting? What do I do?
My GF and I have been together for 2 years, much in love, live together in a 'married like' relationship. We plan a future together, plan to buy a house and support each other in a partnership.
She started study this year and I took up work to support her/us (as when she finishes her degree, she will be able to contribute financially also).
During her study I have supported her on an emotional level - helping her with stress, on a financial level - paying for most things (nothing too extravagant), and on a level where I base my life around supporting her while she studies. After 9 months I realize it is a bit draining attending to her needs whilst I sacrifice the necessary a... 28 Nov 08, 07:11:31

Ipswich: Is my GF being selfish in our relationship? What do I do?
Sorry for the long question, but I couldn’t express the situation in a shorter form without leaving details out, I promise it’s a juicy little story and isn’t too boring and I will make time to answer your question in return if you have one! Thanks

Ipswich: Cost of a Rhinoplasty (Nose Job) with Dr. Diamond from Dr.90210?
Has anyone either had a consultation with Dr. Jason Diamond from Dr.90210, or actually went throught with the Rhinoplasty procedure? I would like to know how much you paid, so I can get a ballpark idea of what I should be spending.
I have money all saved up, I really want to consult with him, but I live in N. California, so before I fly down, I would like some insight.
If you havent had rhinoplasty with him, how much did you pay, and who did you go with?... 26 Nov 08, 02:11:33
Ipswich: Bush passing midnight regulations do you agree with any of these changes?
Mountaintop Mining: Rule would allow mining companies to dump waste into rivers and streams.
Endangered Species Act: Rule would alter implementation of ESA to allow federal land-use managers to approve projects (like infrastructure creation, minerals extraction, or logging) without consulting federal habitat managers and biological health experts responsible for species protection.
Power plants near National Parks: Environmental Protection Agency rule would ease current restrictions that make it difficult for power plants to operate near national parks and wilderness areas, which could increase air pollution in those areas.
Truck Driver Safety: Department of Transportation rule will... 25 Nov 08, 08:11:34
Ipswich: Comments on my personal statement for college, hoping to get into UCLA?
Describe the world you come from — for example, your family, community or school — and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations
My story is rather unique, after all, how often do you meet a Chinese-American raised in the slums of Tijuana, Mexico? Although I was born in Los Angeles, California, my childhood began in Tijuana, and it lasted for eight years. The eight years that I experienced in Tijuana has become one of the biggest factors that have shaped me to what I am today. Since I had grown up over in Tijuana, the first language that I learned was Spanish, but, it is not my primary language. Although I had learned Spanish first, English has become my primary la... 25 Nov 08, 09:11:33
