Inverness: Unfair Debt Question...?
I have a loan which I pay £86 i month, and I still owe £1750. The loan was only for £2200 and i've had it for over nearly 2 years! I was made redundant in august and I started at university in september. I contact my loan company as I have payment protection and they told me that the only way I could claim for my protection is if I was on job seekers allowance. I am 20 years old and trying to better myself, and I am told to sign on if i want to claim my payment protection! This to me sounds unfair and rediculous, I am now 3 payments behind and they are threatening me with a CCJ! have I got a good argument... and I do understand that debt has to be paid back!...

Inverness: Job Seekers Allowance Help? Urgent!?
Hello, Ive been unemployed since April, and received a letter on Friday stating that i am entitled to JSA from the 11th November. My first signing in date is this Thursday. When will i get my first payment? Also, i first tried to claim on the 13th October, over the phone. I never received a call back, despite phoning several times and leaving my name and number with operators to call me back. I then managed to go into the Job Center (i couldn't afford the bus fare of £8 until a few weeks later) and they gave me an appointment time. I managed to get a lift in for the appointment, but my friends car broke down and i was too late for the appointment. I was told i would receive a lette...

Inverness: Working tax credits up to £75,000 earnings...?
Bit confused. My son is 8 months old and I have not yet returned to work as I'm currently 3 months pregnant with number 2. It's proving very difficult to a) find work whilst pregnant and b) I'm really suffering with morning sickness and would feel awful having to spend the majority of the morning not actually woking but in the loo! Apparently we're not eligible for working tax credits. Our household income is £30,000. Probably right, I'm just sure I read that you can claim if your earnings are under £75,000. Seems we've been a bit screwed over on everything because of my partner's wage which is a good wage but after private rent, council tax, rising bills...
