Ibiza: How can I convince my fiancee to move after we're married?
I've discussed this with him before, but he's not interested in changing our situation. It's fine for the time being, but I know that in the long-run I really want to live closer to my family (family is very important to me). I don't have any family living close by (except for a cousin) and his family lives in Europe. I know that now is not the best time to make that transition partly because of the current job market (and partly that he doesn't have a green card and can only work for his current employer), but I'd really like to move at the end of next year or early 2010 (we're getting married in September 2009). I've told myself that I guess I...

Ibiza: I am 22 years old and recently got married in June. Is divorce my only option?
My husband and I married shortly after meeting (less than a year). We had our daughter in augest this year and recently found out that I am again 9 months pregnant.. I love my husband but I hate how he treats me. He is very controlling and only wants me to be a stay at home mom. He constantly fight and everytime we argue i tell him to stop our daughter does not need to be brought up around that. It does no good and i always wind up having to call my mother to pick me up. The reason that i call her is because we only have one car right now and techniqually it is his car and he refuses to let me take it every time me argue. My husband has changed tremendously and i belief he may have some ...

Ibiza: My aunt and rest of her family are stupid!! Do you agree?
So my aunt divorced her husband because he abused her and looked at other woman on the internet. It took many court cases and about a month that my aunt became officially divorced. She and her (ex)-husband had owned a home in Utah and were now selling it. My aunt moved in with her mother in AZ while her (ex)- husband was in jail and going bankrupt. Every so often he would come and visit his 3 kids. My aunt had found a job, and started dating. She didn't spend much time in the house because her mother was a lunatic. Her ex would always call her and other family members harass and cause them out. He supposedly had taking counseling classes, and about a month after the divorce, he and my a...

Ibiza: mothers of grown children (pref. not in rehab!) - when does it become well worth it?
I have a 2 yr old and a nearly 1 yr old and I stay home to look after them. I realise I am lucky that my husband supports us all as some mothers have to work. I love my kids of course and I love watching them grow and all the good things that comes with it but lately I've just been feeling like.........ugh.........when will this get better?! I'll try and explain.... it's FULL ON and I really only get 1 hr or so to myself to study or return emails etc. Additional problem is my husband who had to change jobs when we moved shortly after our first was born (my idea to be closer to my family for help with kids etc) is feeling really down on himself again. He feels he doesn&...

Ibiza: people are strange...or is it just me?
lately ive noticed this sort of change when hanging out with my 'friends' they re just so distant and weird, and i don t feel i can talk to them about anything because all they seem to do is bring me down and make me depressed by suggesting how mediocre i am as a person. like im at the job fair with them theyre like why do you want to be a presenter you ve got no oral skills (yes they re honest but jeopardizing my ego) or sometimes they say hi sometimes they dont when we meet in the locker rooms, and when i do better them them at school after an exam theyre like oh well thats because u had time to finish(as if they were like well if i had finished id have an even better mark and yo...

Ibiza: When our economy ultimately goes bust, will you be happy just to work in one of Obama's forced labor gulags?
Taken from an Obama speech: Today, AmeriCorps - our nation's network of local, state and national service programs - has 75,000 slots. I know firsthand the quality of these programs. My wife Michelle once left her job at a law firm to be the founding director of an AmeriCorps program in Chicago that trains young people for careers in public service. These programs invest Americans in their communities and their country. They tap America's greatest resource - our citizens. As President, I will expand AmeriCorps to 250,000 slots, and make that increased service a vehicle to meet national goals like providing health care and education, saving our planet and restoring our standing...

Ibiza: Should I stay with this job? Or quit and find another?
I am very stressed working at my company now. I have worked for over a year now and I love my line of work, but unfortunately I am pregnant now and things are starting to change. Also, the system has become more stressful and ridiculous since the schedule has had a significant change and everyone is angry about it. I just called in sick today to my op manager but not the supervisor, so she got mad n scold me on my voicemail. That just stress me out more...I thought it was the same thing the op manager told her anyway. It wasn't too big a deal for them to find someone to cover my shift today--my shift isn't that difficult to cover...they just won't be as good cuz I'm reall...
