Hull: Help with choosing a major!?
I'm a freshman in college, and have no idea on what career path I should take. I know I have time to think about it, but I want to know now (for convenience of hours/class schedules/courses/etc). I like to help people, I'm not particularly talkative but I am a very good listener and will go out of my way to make someone happy. I want a bachelor of arts (I'm not good with numbers or science). I would like something in the medical field that doesn't require a PhD, or a job that doesn't require me to sit at a desk all day. I like to move and to be out and about. Business related things are not for me, and law is a possibility, but I'm not a good public speaker. All... 21 Nov 08, 03:11:08

Hull: Does somebody have to serve in the military to prove he is better than somebody who did serve.?
Somebody, who was accepted to west point, but turned it down. Is physically fit so that he can make Special Forces. Finished college with the resume that guarantees him a spot in OCS. No criminal charges, no tattoos, never did drugs, perfect eye sight. Does that man how to join, to prove he is better than any man who got a high school diploma, earned a sub 40th percentile on the ASVAB, and joined?
Will not joining forever shadow him.
What if that man can spend those 4-8 years doing something far more important for the country, and more so the world, than he could in the military. Will he forever be inferior to anybody who joined, based on the call well you never served, why not t... 20 Nov 08, 09:11:37
Hull: Advice on how do deal with a family and boyfriend that don't get along...?
I'm 25, my boyfriend is 35. I have a Master's degree and a lucrative full-time job at a small organization. He's got a PhD and has a few part-time jobs as a college professor, but he's had difficulty finding full-time work teaching in his field (music).
We've been together for a few months (my first serious relationship), and my Mom has never taken to my BF. She won't get past a few medical issues he has and that he doesn't have a full-time job. She has outright said I think you can do better.
I've had talk after talk with her, and she simply says I can't condone your relationship.
This is the man I want to spe... 20 Nov 08, 09:11:49
Hull: I am so interested in medical fields, but I am not sure what exactly I would like to do?
I job shadowed a nurse last week, and I really didn’t like what she had to go through. I thought it was a stressful job, and really boring. I almost fell asleep just shadowing a nurse for couple hours made me realize that I don’t want to be a nurse for sure. I need some excitement, but I’m not sure what kind of jobs in the medical fields are out there.
I would like to find a career that would let me work in the medical field, but not have direct contact with a patient. I don’t know why, but I really don’t want to work with a patient one on one,
I want to help people out though. I’m not sure what can I do, I really like to research about all kinds of things. I like reading a... 20 Nov 08, 08:11:37
