I am 19. Yes, I am still living at home and will be so I can focus on school.
I will be working, right now I am not.
I put up a profile on care.com. You make a profile list your credentials I guess and people looking for nannies, au pairs or even sitters look at your profile and call you when they need someone.
These people have profiles as well. Family photos and stuff.
My mom is AGAINST this.
She won't let me take any job offers and wants me to take my profile down.
She thinks that its unsafe and that something bad is going to happen.
But what is the difference between putting up flyers around town for a sitter and essentially putting up an e-flyer?

What are the job options in Paris for Australians other than bar work and au pair work? I am taking french lessons but I don't think I'll be fluent by the time I hope to move there. Are there any companies/restaurants/organisations that may hire people fluent in english?

Henley On Thames: Au pairs are not house keepers?
I was looking forward to au pairing in Europe, but it seems like the majority of the families are looking for a housekeeper AND a babysitter. My responsibilities are to be directed at the children. It's not my job to vacuum, do the dishes, your laundry, etc. I have no problem cleaning up messes that children do. But it's not my job to keep your house clean! What is wrong with these families? And people wonder why they have au pair disasters ...

Want to move overseas for a year or two here are my options all through agencies such as statravel, ccusa, iep etc.
Out of these options which one would you choose and why?
1. Work in Banff/whistler Canada for the ski season
2. Work in Banff/whistler for the summer
3. Work in a summer camp in USA
4. Work in Canadian summer camp
5. Work in London Pub or anywhere in England in a pub or other
6. Work in the ski fields in Colorado
7. Work/study in Denmark - fruit picking
8. Work in summer camp - Britain
9. Au pair job in USA or Britain or something
10. Work in Bar on Island off Queensland, Australia...

im a 18years old student looking for a summer job or for an au pair experience in the UK. But all offers and programs i found are reserved to european union citizens, and im not!!
im in my first year of study in france so i don't have any specific qualification, im only looking for an international working experience during my holiday.

I was wondering if anyone has taken an Au Pair or Au Pair job without going through the government and the live in caregiver program?
I'm worried that because I am young myself, I will have no one interested that is my age or a bit younger.
Can anyone give me any personal experiences as either an Au Pair or host family in Canada?

Ill try and make it short...
Im in NY and loving, its always been my dream to be here as an actress, but Im here as an Au Pair. I need to go back to South Africa for my best friend's wedding (we are really close...and I get to see my family as well) but If i go, there's a chance I cant come back, cause I have to do my visa again and they can deny it...
so... If I can come back, I'll be an Au Pair, but I cant be an Au Pair forever, I'm almost 25 and need to start focusing on an acting career... but without money from Au Pair, I cant act...
When is it time to start settling down? Should I live my dream alone/lonely in NY, or settle down in South Africa with a stead...
