Heathrow: Thinking of filling bankruptcy?? Long but really need help here?
I would appreciate no judgment or nasty comments....
I work at a car dealership as a car detailer. With the way the economy is there is no work. I am getting about $2000 less a month and am hurting financially because of it. I took up a 2nd job but that only brings in $400 extra dollars a month. I have a wife and 2 children. My wife is a stay at home mom because one of our children is disabled and needs medical care. I sometimes go 3 days without seeing my family because of my hours. I am trying to find a new job, but there isn't many of them out there these days. We have cut back as far as we can possibly, we live in low income housing, we never go out to eat, my wife cooks at hom... 21 Nov 08, 05:11:34
Heathrow: Getting a job with the National park service after bankruptcy?
I want to apply for a park ranger job.
I was discharged in bankruptcy 3 years ago. I know legally they are not susposed to discriminate against you for this, but really, what is the deal?
Also, my last job was 6 years ago and I got fired for not showing up to work. this is the technical reason. The reason I did not show up was that I got very ill and was off of work for over 5 months on the family medical leave act and I was still not well after that time but I did not go back to work and did not resign--I just never went back and they fired me. I wish I could go back and do things over so I could get a good reference, but that is life and I can not go back now. I was a model empl... 21 Nov 08, 04:11:28

Heathrow: Can anybody think of jobs for this artistic Kat?
I love singing and can sing. i love art and am pretty good at that too. But I need a career. Possibly something other than freelance jobs in graphic design?
I have definitely considered the medical field and dental field. I want to help people. But I feel like I might be wasting my time (& money) training for those sort of jobs if I end up not being satisfied with them.
Help?

Heathrow: any suggestions? looking for humanitarian job?
I am a recent graduate for a Medical Assistant program and I am looking for a humanitarian type job. I.E working with natural disasters or in other countries, or with people who really need the help. I would join the peace corps but i am a single mom and they don't allow you to take children with you.... 21 Nov 08, 04:11:40
Heathrow: Moving during a recession?
My hubby is getting out of the USN (Navy) in Feb. 2009. We're currently stationed in a VERY expensive part of California and simply could not afford to live here afterward. We're planning on moving back to the midwest (Bloomington, IN). My job in CA is refusing to make me full-time, due to budget cuts; therefore, not offering us health/medical coverage. I'm planning on taking a state job in the social service field (full-time), and my husband will be going back to school and working part-time. We have one child. Under normal circumstances my husband would stay in the military, but he knows he's up for an extended tour of duty away from his family and with two wars ... 21 Nov 08, 03:11:39
Heathrow: Help with choosing a major!?
I'm a freshman in college, and have no idea on what career path I should take. I know I have time to think about it, but I want to know now (for convenience of hours/class schedules/courses/etc). I like to help people, I'm not particularly talkative but I am a very good listener and will go out of my way to make someone happy. I want a bachelor of arts (I'm not good with numbers or science). I would like something in the medical field that doesn't require a PhD, or a job that doesn't require me to sit at a desk all day. I like to move and to be out and about. Business related things are not for me, and law is a possibility, but I'm not a good public speaker. All... 21 Nov 08, 03:11:08
