Heathrow: Reasons why men can never win..........what do u think ladies?
If you work too hard, there is never any time for her. If you don't work enough, you're a good-for-nothing bum. If she has a boring repetitive job with low pay, it's exploitation. If you have a boring repetitive job with low pay, you should get off your ass and find something better. If you get a promotion ahead of her, it's favoritism. If she gets a job ahead of you, it's equal opportunity. If you mention how nice she looks, it's sexual harassment. If you keep quiet, it's male indifference. If you cry, you're a wimp. If you don't, you're insensitive. If you make a decision without consulting her, you're a c...

Heathrow: Did Obama Really Tear Down Racial Barriers or Just Kill White Guilt?
White Guilt is Dead By Tom Adkins Look at my fellow conservatives! There they go, glumly shuffling along depressed by the election aftermath. Not me. I'm virtually euphoric. Don't get me wrong. I'm not thrilled with Americas flirtation with neo socialism. But theres a massive silver lining in those magical clouds that lofted Barak Obama to the presidency. For today, without a shred of intellectually legitimate opposition, I can loudly proclaim to America: The Era of White Guilt is over. This seemingly impossible event occurred because the vast majority of white Americans didn't give a fluff about skin color, and enthusiastically pulled the voting lever...

Heathrow: NAVY... couple of general questions ?
iv been thinking about what i wanna do when i wanna do when i get out of high school and the navy is what i am sort of leaning on the most. i had a couple of questions 1)what should i expect upon entering the navy 2)i scored an ASVAB score of about a 65 but dident take the test to seriously due to the fact it had nothing to do with school and i had no interest in the navy at the time. what kind of jobs would i look at with a better score 3)what would my chances be of being deployed to a hostile area such as the middle east 4)honestly--although i realize i would be joining the MILITARY would you say that there are opportunities that are actually fun and would you say it honestly benefit...

Heathrow: When will equal opportunity mean equal risk?
In Warren Farrells book Myth of Male Power , Farrell makes (over several chapters which is far too much to quote) a compelling case that men take jobs which result in far greater numbers of them dying than do women. In fact 24 of the 25 most dangerous jobs are done by men. These range from mining to garbage collection to firefighting. In addition to this, he points out that in the military, women can elect to be excluded from combat, and cites an example where, in the Navy, 40% of women on a particular ship became pregnant once it was clear that they would be serving in active duty (he doesn't mention how many women were on the ship - it could have been as few as 2 ou...

Heathrow: broadcasting/photography degrees?
Okay. I'm a senior in highschool and I've always been debating between Broadcast communications and Photography. I've decided to lean more towards broadcast because I think it'll open up more job opportunities for me BUT I'd like to attend a school that also has photography as a minor option. [Broadcast would be my major] I was in love with SCAD-Atlanta with cnn right there. however it's a little too costly for my means. So my question is, does any one know of or attend (preferably) a university or school that offers these programs or one that is known for turning out successful people and that offers a good program. I'm lookin at schools on the ...

Additional Details 22 minutes ago By the way, my actual job is very interesting but not permanent, it is a temporary contract (3 years) 15 minutes ago The job I'm working now offers some good opportunities if I want to specialize myself in the environment field THOUGH, I doubt I'll have a permanency there. Heathrow: When our economy ultimately goes bust, will you be happy just to work in one of Obama's forced labor gulags?
Taken from an Obama speech: Today, AmeriCorps - our nation's network of local, state and national service programs - has 75,000 slots. I know firsthand the quality of these programs. My wife Michelle once left her job at a law firm to be the founding director of an AmeriCorps program in Chicago that trains young people for careers in public service. These programs invest Americans in their communities and their country. They tap America's greatest resource - our citizens. As President, I will expand AmeriCorps to 250,000 slots, and make that increased service a vehicle to meet national goals like providing health care and education, saving our planet and restoring our standing...
