Heathrow: What should I get my Dad for Christmas?
My Dad is a plumber. He likes hunting and golfing. He does a lot of side jobs. I'm working with a limited budget here, but I want to get him something he'll really like. If you have any ideas even the smallest things.
(oh and by the way, don't tell me to make him anything, because he doesn't like that last time I did that he threw it away when he thought I wan't looking and no gift cards, I want to actually buy him something)... 21 Nov 08, 01:11:12

Heathrow: Take your financial and job hunting advice and shove it?
How many think job hunting advice and financial advice seems pretty stupid in this economy?
What I hate is that I am getting advice even when companies are not hiring. Like: How to keep from being laid off in this economy , or Don't get nervous at your job interview when all they are doing is hiring people who they like, not who are qualified. When they start... or when I start having the talent to MAKE people like me, and it can be taught with advice, then maybe I will eat my left nut and shut up with the stupid questions....... 20 Nov 08, 07:11:23
Heathrow: What new job should I get?
I have been a home designer for the last 13 years and I am burned out. I want to do something new and exciting. I am not outgoing so I know I wouldn't be a good salesperson. I am a country girl, strong, intelligent but no degree. Love horses, hunting, camping, all outdoor stuff. Not so much an office person. My new job dosen't have to be outdoors but just something new and fun. I'm 38 and too old to go back to school. I was a catastrophe insurance adjuster at one time and really enjoyed that. Any ideas would be appreciated.... 20 Nov 08, 05:11:14
Heathrow: Do I qualify for unemployment?
I left my job a year ago to open a business which I had to close b/c my husband was transferred out of state. I have been interviewing and job hunting for 3 months with no luck. I left my last job in October of last year to open the business. I have never worked in the state I live in now.... 20 Nov 08, 05:11:38
Heathrow: BNP Police Witch Hunt ?
We read that Police forces throughout the land are scouring the leaked BNP membership lists for the names of their officers. It would appear that no BNP member is secure in employment if they are a Police Officer, and the Prison Service has said that they will 'oust outright' any Prison Officer who is on the membership list.
Does this mean a future reluctance of certain professions joining certain political parties, or will membership go 'underground' to prevent future detection ? and what of members of the Police and Prison Service, if its a 'free' country should they not have the right to join legal organisations regardless of policy ? are there any jobs wh... 20 Nov 08, 08:11:38
Heathrow: Hunting, prepping and preserving deer for food?
My family live in rural Michigan (excellent hunting up here) and my husband and I have hit hard times, financially. He works in the auto industry; we have kids to feed and are not wild about taking handouts - so what would I need to get to be ready for hunting, gutting and preserving/cooking/etc.
How do you get the animal from where it's at (dead) to where ever it's going to be gutted? Is this a 2 person job? How much do they weigh? How much does it cost to have someone gut it versus difficulty of doing it yourself?
What do I need to worry about as far as disease issues and legalities of hunting on your own property for consumption purposes?
Any help is greatly appreciated... 20 Nov 08, 06:11:34
Heathrow: Is my dad normal? (involves embezzlement and a torrid affair with the neighbor) ?
In April of this year he sat our family down to tell us our family home was in foreclosure. All spring he took us house hunting and got our hopes up about a particular house we really loved. Come July we still hadn't filed the final paperwork. Around this time my brother and I noticed he was mowing the lawn a lot. Conicidentally it was only when our neighborlady whom I cat sit for, Cindy, was outside or mowing her lawn too. She was mowing the lawn a lot over the summer because her boyfriend (who she started up with while he was still married, and who she left her son and husband for) left her.
Oh boo hoo.
At the end of July my dad (tried to) beat the crap out of my li... 20 Nov 08, 04:11:06
Heathrow: What is a turducken ?
So this guy at my job tells me that for Thanksgiving he's gonna eat some turducken. .... I was like, what the hell is a turducken ?!! ...... He told me that it was a combination of a turkey, a duck and a chicken..
I thought that was cool,so I went hunting for one. ..... I created a turducken whistle to attract one. ...It didn't work. Every time I blew it, Rosie O'Donnell would show up. .....
The guy then tells me that a turducken is not an actual animal, but that it's a chicken inside a duck which is inside a turkey. .............
So I went to a nearby barn and made one... I'm not gonna tell you in detail how I made it, but I will tell you.....The birds put up a... 20 Nov 08, 03:11:33
