Heathrow: What would you do during an economic crisis?
Imagine you were jobless. Would you go thru an agency that makes you pay $50 for registration, $300 as processing fee and then $1600 (one time payment) after your papers are fixed, or an agency that deducts a certain amount from your monthly salary, or wait a little longer for someone to hire you directly? I know it's hard to get a job these days and people are resorting to employment agencies for jobs. I'd like to hear your opinion ......

Heathrow: Emergency unemployment extension for Nov 2008?
I am visiting my mom who has been unemployed for over a year now. she has applied for many jobs but no one in our area is hiring so she would have to drive to far for a job thus paying too much in gas. Anyway she wants to know (she has tried contacting the local agency) since she received the last unemployment extension in July will she still qualify for this extension seeing as she is still unemployed? Heathrow: Renting my house - what should I know - taxes etc?
Hi
I live in Tampa. I am thinking I have to rent my house out since I don't have a job and I'm afraid I will lose it. I have a place to stay for a fraction of the cost. I hear taxes go up if you rent it, that a different insurance is needed. Do you know how much taxes go up usually? Also, what sort of insurance do I need? Any advice you have will help.
I plan to use an agency since I am a moron when it comes to this stuff anyway. I'm just trying to get some info at this time.

So there's this guy, and he's an immigrant who needs to learn English, and came from italy. So a women at a agency tells him, that in order to learn a few words, he will need three jobs. The first job was a nurse at a hospital,and he learned how to say, Baby . Next job was a pilot and he learned to say, takeoff . Heathrow: Can a company/employment agency not allow you to fill out an application based on how long you have been out?
of work. how else are you're supposed to find work, if policies state: We cannot accept your application unless you have worked a consistent six months, how can you work any time when you are not given to opportunity to even fill out an application? filling out applications does not mean you are going to get the job anyway....

Heathrow: what can you tell me to get me motivated?
so this is where i'm at in my life... i'm engaged, i have a 4 year old son from a previous relationship 2 years ago i got myself on my feet with a job as an Illinois Insurance Producer and office manager for an insurance agency. i make a whopping $305 a week. My fiancee makes double, sometimes tripple what i make. Insurance just isnt my thing. I'm ok at it..but it's not my thing. My thing is event (party) planning, weddings, showers, meetings, etc etc. I love it, I'm great at it, and I know I could hang with the best with the best if i could get motivated to get my foot in the door!!! I just dont have the motivation to get from behind my desk ...
