Heathrow: I AM IN DIRE NEED OF YOUR HELP(sorry for the caps.) I just really need your help. Ten points to most helpful?
I'm a recent high school grad and have don't really have an interest in anything. Just recently I’ve grown an interest in international business. I know I probably won’t get the most fun and rewarding career out of it, but I honestly don’t like anything else. I'm the type of person who knows when I don't like something and I know that I don't like anything because I've done tons and tons of research on every single job and career. I've also taken plenty of classes in anything that I think may interest me. I was home schooled, so I really need some helpful advice. The international business major really appeals to me, but I just want to know if it will... 21 Nov 08, 02:11:55

Heathrow: I'm scared my ex will try to destroy my career as I am prosecuting him for domestic violence and ABH...?
I live in the UK and am doing a PhD and have worked hard to get to where I am...He used to beat me up for the most trivial reasons including having a bottle of wine on a Friday night...I left him and he has no idea where I live.
I have been to the police and they are taking my statement very seriously as I have medical records, his admission to beating me on email, and witnesses who saw the bruises...I'm now regretting prosecuting or going to the police because he is a really nasty person, and I'm worried he will seek some sick revenge afterwards...
He always used to tell me I was an alcoholic as I like a glass of wine in the evenings and weekends, and I'm scared he may ... 20 Nov 08, 10:11:39

Heathrow: Okay guys, spiritually speaking, I need some relationship advice...?
Here is the story. It's really long but I'd really appreciate any insight you guys could provide because this is really bugging me... :-s
I met this guy (let's call him Mark) through a group of mutual friends. Mark, me, and our group of friends hung out regularly (almost daily) and Mark and I began to have chemistry. We started talking on the phone every night, at one point we talked on the phone for 5.5 hours like school kids... We spent some time together alone, outside our group of friends a couple times and started getting closer.
The last time we hung out together in a couple sort of way was with two of our other friends and we saw a movie. Mark was a very to... 20 Nov 08, 07:11:47
Heathrow: How should a mom with a MC in Counseling but a career gap fill in online forms asking for prior employers?
How can I apply online to work in mental health with a gap in my work history and no paid MH experience after graduation?
I worked as an editor, and as a communications consultant for Pacific Bell until 1992, taught English in Japan in '93, then had a child and got my master's from Indiana University in 1999. Despite having another child in '97, I got As and A+s. I did a 7-month internship in a substance abuse facility in Ann Arbor, MI, but have not had paid mental health work.
Since 1999, we have moved twice, and I have concentrated primarily on raising my kids (my son had special needs). During that long gap, I did some freelance writing and editing of patient educatio... 20 Nov 08, 06:11:30
Heathrow: I need career advice!!! How important is experience?
I am a graduate student getting my degree in Community Development with an emphasis in Fund Development/Fund-raising. I want to go into the non profit field after graduation.
I received my bachelors in Business Administration with a Marketing concentration in 2007 and went straight to graduate school. I am about to graduate in May of 2009 with my masters degree and I am afraid that I don't have enough experience.
I work on campus in the Development office (which is the field I want to go into after graduation) but I am afraid that I haven't learned very much at all. I also do some volunteer work for a museum in their development office but I also haven't really learned... 20 Nov 08, 04:11:58
