Harrow: How would you deal with this work situation?
*Warning: A little long* I'm having somewhat of a difficult time dealing with an out-of-line co-worker. The situation is: recently I've begun taking on more work, I just got promoted and thus my work load is now a little heavier, however I thoroughly enjoy the work I do, and I'm ambitious. That said, I know when too much is too much and I wouldn't hesitate to tell someone if I needed help. I just took on a few more clients, which I was rather excited about, and my co-worker, who is the same job grade I am, but who sometimes thinks she's my superior, came to me this morning and said I don't think you need these extra clients, you have too much on your pl...

Harrow: Advice On Not Getting The Job At Work And Another Girl Who Does The Same Job You Do Gets It Instead?
I found out that this girl got this job I also applied for in which I really wanted. Some people at work overheard how I applied for it and were confident that I was going to get it. I was excited but tried my best to ignore. Long story short. I did not end up getting it as I was told by my boss. So this other girl got it. Now I am not angry but just bummed and slightly bitter. I believe they made the right choice because I am positive she has had previous job experience in that part of work compared to me even though I know I am better than her at what I do now. I had a feeling I could have gotten it because of that. Anyways, she has the job and I congratulated her because she will...

Harrow: If this is what Congress wants,& since they want a Plan, why not insist that the Big 3 file Chapter 11?
... November 20, 2008 WASHINGTON – The $25 billion rescue plan for the auto industry, desperately sought by Detroit's beleaguered Big Three, collapsed Thursday as Congress drew the line at one more bailout and Democrats said they wouldn't even consider it until the companies produced a convincing plan for rebuilding their once-mighty industry. Filing a Chapter 11 requires a Plan . They can reorganize. The have lots of time to structure a Pan under a Chapter 11. People can keep their jobs. A Trustee or trustees can help. The DOJ has lots of 'helpers'. They can check your records, make certain things are 'in order'. If it had n...

Harrow: Why is it that in order to get a job I MUST be bilingual and most jobs are taken by illegal immigrants?
I think it is unfair for most jobs in the state of California to require that applicants be spanish/english bilingual in order to get hired. I can understand probably 90% of spanish but I cannot speak it well enough to be able to respond. I can read most of it but I cannot write it. Why is it okay for places to require me to learn spanish but it is not okay for the state to require spanish speakers to learn english? And why is it fair that a United States citizen(born and raised) like myself cannot even get a good job because they are already taken by illegal immigrants who do not even have the papers required to have the job in the first place. They have fake SSN's, fake ID's, fak...

Harrow: When our economy ultimately goes bust, will you be happy just to work in one of Obama's forced labor gulags?
Taken from an Obama speech: Today, AmeriCorps - our nation's network of local, state and national service programs - has 75,000 slots. I know firsthand the quality of these programs. My wife Michelle once left her job at a law firm to be the founding director of an AmeriCorps program in Chicago that trains young people for careers in public service. These programs invest Americans in their communities and their country. They tap America's greatest resource - our citizens. As President, I will expand AmeriCorps to 250,000 slots, and make that increased service a vehicle to meet national goals like providing health care and education, saving our planet and restoring our standing...
