Harrow: How can my girlfriend land an opera singing job?
My girlfriend graduated with a doctorate in voice performance, and as some people know, after you leave school, your performance opportunities in school productions are over and you have to go into the audition world (which you start doing earlier while in school anyway.) She has been auditioning and for the last two years has not landed a single role or an invitation to a young artist program. I know that the performance world is very difficult, but believe me, she is good, and I cannot believe that someone that works hard at something cannot get a break. I tell her that may be she could play the political game a little more: talk to people, get connected, do smaller gigs, etc., but I am ju... 21 Nov 08, 05:11:14
Harrow: What shall I do now? I'm going to graduate.?
I'm a law student in the main land of China. Now I'm going to graduated from school. But I do not know what should I do. Most of my friends are looking for jobs, or prepare for tests to be officer of the government. I love readings and always stay alone. My study is just ok.And my English is poor and just know a little computer. How do you think a person like me should do what? I don't know. Can you tell me? Thank a lot. Hope that I didn't do much wrong with my spelling.... 21 Nov 08, 05:11:29
Harrow: Civil Engineering, Design vs. Construction?
Right now im a junior civil engineer and I can't decide whether to intern at a design firm or a construction firm. Could someone with experience please tell me in detail the jobs I would be doing at each firm? Also, is it possible to be a part of a construction company that also does design work, what are the chances? Ultimately when I graduate, I would like to see myself working as a structural engineer that is involved with buildings and skyscrapers. Thank you... 21 Nov 08, 05:11:43
Harrow: I want to commit suicide because I can't handle living in this society anymore.?
I have trouble believing life is more than an assortment of molecules, and I find little faith in the conventional Christianity that doesn't seem to make sense logically. I graduated with a BA and can't find a job and live at home with a disturbed family in emotional turmoil over my father's imprisonment. He's dying and I'm torn between being compassionate towards his situation or angry at him for causing me so much pain. And winter is coming and I'm without someone to hold at night and a safe place to chill out and be healthy and cry. I am 23 and want to meet a man I could be with to start something healthy but most people bore me with the stupid sh*t that ... 21 Nov 08, 05:11:10
Harrow: I need help deciding my major!?
I'm going to college this January. I have no clue what I want to major in. I know that I do not have to decide my major until the end of my sophomore year but I would like to at least narrow my decision down. I'm going to give you a little background info on me. I'm pretty handy with computers. I can unassemble and reassemble them pretty easily. I like technology, specifically new technology. Say for example, I purchased a laptop that was supposed to have all the new features, then a month later another company comes out with a newer version. I would sell my month-old laptop and purchase the new one; I like all types of new technology. However, this may be a lot of people as w... 21 Nov 08, 04:11:29
Harrow: Find the Probability of this math question?
A study conducted at a certain college shows that 59% of the school's graduates find a job in their chosen field within a year after graduation. Find the probability that among 8 randomly selected graduates, at least one finds a job in his or her chosen field within a year of graduating.
Please explain this for me. Thanks... 21 Nov 08, 04:11:34
Harrow: Getting a Career Job so young??
So I am 18 years old. I graduated from high school, and I was at college a very short time, but had to leave, and cannot go back at the current time due to some money issues.
Anyways
I currently work a part time job.
I am looking for Fulltime work, but I was wondering if it is smart to apply(which i have) at a Career Full Time Job for example I applied at Kimberly Clark Corporation, which I am qualified for already.
Is it smart to apply with a company such as that so young? I mean it is a good place to start a career at, and the pay is very good.
I plan on going back to college once I pay off my debt.
For yall of you who don't know KC Corp is the compan... 21 Nov 08, 04:11:23

Harrow: Can you move up in your career as a ultrasound tech/ diagnostic sonographer?
I have a Bachelor's in Health Administration from an Accredited University and I was thinking about going to school to become a ultrasound tech/diagnostic sonographer. I graduated a more than a few months ago and I have not been able to find a job probably because of the economy. I feel like I am wasting my time waiting and looking for a job, so I have decided to go back to school to make use of my free time. I have been looking into becoming a radiology tech or ultrasound tech, but I am leaning more towards ultrasound tech. I have a few questions.
1. Would I be wasting my bachelor degree to become an ultrasound tech?
2. What specific positions can I move up to in sonography or radiol... 21 Nov 08, 04:11:20
