Harrow: Girl advice: is she into me ??? ?
I met this girl online. She emailed me and we soon then started talking through text messaging. We then moved it to AIM. I said I defintely felt a connection, she said the same. Anyway we plan to meet up (she's working two jobs and had her shift covered so she could go out with me) and last night we meet for mini golf. She calls me right before and asks where I am. Next thing I know she is walking through the doors on her phone (with me) and she smiles and we hug. All throughout the game we are standing close to each other, she is playing around, like tapping her club on mine, trying to make me mess up, talking a lot, etc. When I was about to putt she bumps her thigh on mine... 21 Nov 08, 02:11:44
Harrow: Veterinary Medicine, what needs to be done?
I am currently a sophomore in college with a 3.5 gpa; I am minoring in public health and have experience at a veterinary clinic. I am involved with many different organizations including a religious society, Pre-vet club, and Roteract. My problem is my science gpa; I have a 3.0 average in all my science courses; not as in a C and an A, but strictly B's. I am starting to feel the pressure of entering in higher courses and the prospect of not getting accepted into my dream job; veterinary medicine. It is what I want to do and will always be. I believe that I have enough time to bring my science GPA up however know that this process will be challenging and hard but I know I can do it. I pl... 21 Nov 08, 02:11:47
Harrow: What do you think about this news story, is it a joke?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7740926.stm
For those of you who don't know and probably don't care (me included), strictly come dancing is a show where a bunch of celebrities from the past, dance about for a few minutes. Then members of the viewing public spend large amounts of money phoning in and voting.
The government are getting involved in a lot of stupid nonsense these days. This story was one the front page of most UK newspapers this morning.
Do we have nothing better to talk about?
Do you want to live in a world where people losing their jobs for speaking their mind?
Thanks... 21 Nov 08, 12:11:42

Harrow: When our economy ultimately goes bust, will you be happy just to work in one of Obama's forced labor gulags?
Taken from an Obama speech:
Today, AmeriCorps - our nation's network of local, state and national service programs - has 75,000 slots. I know firsthand the quality of these programs. My wife Michelle once left her job at a law firm to be the founding director of an AmeriCorps program in Chicago that trains young people for careers in public service. These programs invest Americans in their communities and their country. They tap America's greatest resource - our citizens.
As President, I will expand AmeriCorps to 250,000 slots, and make that increased service a vehicle to meet national goals like providing health care and education, saving our planet and restoring our standing... 20 Nov 08, 10:11:04
Harrow: The rights of BNP teachers? What about the rights of the pupils they are supposed to teach?
It's so silly people saying that the BNP teachers should be allowed to keep their jobs as teachers because firstly the education system in this country teaches us from an extremely young age that racism is wrong so having BNP teachers contradicts that point but most importantly pupils, children have the right not to be judged based on the colour of the skin or based on the religion they may follow. To deny that BNP teachers are not prejudiced against students who are not white or who are of certain religions is a complete and utter lie. You wouldn't be a member of the BNP if you were not a racist or intelligent enough not to fall for the crap and there is no need or want for racist... 20 Nov 08, 10:11:45
Harrow: Our private school is charging us full tuition when they had promised assistance. Do we have to pay it?
My husband had his son enrolled in private school when we married last year. He was $2000 behind in tuition (due to job loss and ex wife not paying anything she owed) and we had discussed not enrolling him in the private school again the next year. My husband said the school had offerred him assistance several times in the last two years and he told them no, that he'd take care of it...but, we then decided to keep his son in that school we would ask for the assistance the new school year for the back tuition and then continue to pay the current tuition and should be fine as my husband currently had a good job and so did I. To our amazement, they let our son register for the next year wi... 20 Nov 08, 10:11:22
Harrow: Why bail out a dinosaur,I mean the auto industry, let the oil companies rescue their Guzzlers partners,Anybody?
After all, they are in the mess they are because failing to deliver fuel efficient cars. Now if they are going to retool their Assembly lines, let the foreign car makers invest in America since they already know how to deliver the cars of the future. let nature take it's course, i do not see any body giving me a handout to pay my mortgage, the bank got the money to continue doing the same banking that got them into the default, therefore, banking bail out a failure, so i do not see future in the big 3 US car makers.Let the foreign come in and provide the jobs with the cars that the public needs not the crappy cars the big 3 are making, anybody?wake up America.?small business go bankrupt a... 20 Nov 08, 08:11:20
Harrow: Does this sound like a good plan?
Right now im a finance major at a third tier public university. I hear my degree wont be well regarded because its not from an ivy. However, im doing an exchange program on the east coast and will graduate in fall 2009. To change my degree to accounting now would set me back to Spring 2010, which isnt a big deal, but I would still have to go to graduate school to have enough credits to take the CPA. Im thinking of just getting my finance degree and then getting a MBA with a concentration in accounting. Does that sound like a good plan? I want to be able to get a goob job. Do you think it will be difficult to get work with just the BA in finance?... 20 Nov 08, 07:11:48
Harrow: Europe has finally wised up and is abandoning their Global Warming delusions. Shouldn't the US follow suit?
It would be ironic, if after years of complaining of US intransigence on climate change, the EU greeted the promise of action by Obama with a watered down package, and a feeble no we can't .
--Phil Bloomer New Statesman, 14 November 2008
EU countries may agree before the end of the year on the basic principles and structure of an agreement on the European Commission's energy and climate package, but it is unlikely that a deal will be finalised, an ambassador of one of the bloc's 27 member states told EurActiv. Efforts to forge an agreement on the package have run into opposition from a group of 'new' member states, led by Poland, who say the p... 20 Nov 08, 06:11:12
