I was telling a friend of mine about the crap that's going on at my place of employment. What I got later was this email with all these pictures of starving kids, people with only one leg, people wading through flood waters with their kids on their shoulders, you know, the you think you've got it rough emails? One of those stop complaining, you don't know what bad is emails? Aren't we allowed to EVER want more in our lives without someone trying to make us feel guilty for wanting it? Harrow: Student trying to move out of abusive household unable to because no room mates respond, what can they do now?
Someone I know is in an abusive house hold, and they even had to go to the hospital before, so they posted an add on craigslist and no one responded, so how can they move out of their house? (They put $600 for amount they can spend)
It says something like:
College student looking for room near college
- looking for room in safe neighborhood near college and within walking distance of places of employment.
They said they think it's because they are different from the other people around here, they are religious and irish and old fashioned and have lots of moral values etc, and the area is a lot of gang bangers and drug users who are like very rough, oh my god what can this pers...

Harrow: Im 17 years old and soon to be father and cant get a job?
im 17 years old and currently a senior in high school and im also a soon to be father with my girlfriend whom is the love of my life and my only worry is that i cant find a job to save my life ive already been to 5 interviews and no luck with this current economic crisis im worried that i wont find a job by when my child is born( which wont be for like another 7 months) and i feel like the people who dont derserve the jobs are the people who get them for example i have a friend who has no employment history ( and i do) and we both applied to the same spot and he got hired over me..... im going to keep trying though because i know i need to provide for my child... does anyone have any tips/id...

Harrow: Can my husband get a social security number after receiving his employment authorization card?
Hi-- we think our immigration lawyer had told us that after we get the employment authorization card, we can go to a social security office, show them the card, and send out for his social security number. What is the proper procedure for this? Where do we need to go, and when (as when we received the card in the mail, the letter didn't give this information)?
Any help you can provide us, we would greatly appreciate it.

Harrow: Holding Congress responsible for their voting record?
With regards to the recent house bill H.R. 6867, which would provide an unemployment extension of benefits. Only 5 Republican representatives voting against the bill. Those five are: Rep. James Barrett [R, SC-3], Rep. Christopher Cannon [R, UT-3], Rep. K. Michael Conaway [R, TX-11], Rep. Bob Inglis [R, SC-4], Rep. John Shadegg [R, AZ-3 ]. What are these representatives thinking? I can not imagine why they thought it not necessary to provide a benefit extension, for Americans who are out of work and steadily looking for employment in a dwindling economy!...

Harrow: where can i go for rent and food assistance?
I've been unemployed for about 3 months now and am actively seeking employment. I have no family here in Chicago or anyone that I can ask for assistance. I cannot afford my rent, bills, or even food anymore. I can't put gas in my car to look for a job, and my phone is about to be shut off as well :( Are there any types of public assistance available?? Harrow: What would you do during an economic crisis?
Imagine you were jobless. Would you go thru an agency that makes you pay $50 for registration, $300 as processing fee and then $1600 (one time payment) after your papers are fixed, or an agency that deducts a certain amount from your monthly salary, or wait a little longer for someone to hire you directly? I know it's hard to get a job these days and people are resorting to employment agencies for jobs. I'd like to hear your opinion ......
