So ultimately here are my questions. 1. How long would it take for me to become a Radiologist? (College? Medical School? Intern? Residency? What should I st... 10 Jan 09, 01:01:04

Harrogate: Should they change the job title of nurse to something else to make it more inclusive of men who might be ?
interested in a medical career. Men make great nurses but many of them are turned off to the profession because when they hear the term nurse, they automatically associate that with femininity, and indeed, it does sound quite feminine to our modern ears
I'm thinking maybe they should change the job title to medic or something to make it more inclusive of men, what do you think... 09 Jan 09, 11:01:40
Harrogate: Did I overstep my boundaries?
I feel bad, but this is the situation:
My sister is 19, pregnant, just got a whole bunch of medical problems, and all this happend after she moved out of me and my husband's home. She moved in with a guy after she graduated, she was fine, then she wound up with herpes, he said he didnt know how she got it. Now they are expecting and he is on disability (supposedly he had cancer), and up until now was not working at all. The other day my little sister was sick, and my mother asked my other sister and her bf if they could bring her pepto, he brought her pills, that he was prescribed and just handed her 10 pills?!, turns out she took them all and she wound up in the hospital she is only 1... 09 Jan 09, 11:01:22

Harrogate: Which job should I choose?
I know I am very lucky and fortunate to have a job in a job market that is looking very bleak for 2009.
I recently graduated with a bachelor of science in behavioral neuroscience (psychobiology). I have been looking since August 2008, and I just got a job as a medical receptionist at a large clinic. I started about 3 weeks ago. It's an easy job, but no benefits at all. I am grateful that I have this job.
I also got offered a job at a hospital in my area to do research with mentally ill patients studying genetic coding for their illnesses. The salary is the same. This job has much more to do with my major than the medical receptionist job and I feel it would open many doors ... 09 Jan 09, 08:01:44
