Halifax: Alternative careers to medical school? Good medical marketing jobs/companies?
I'm exploring alternative options to medical school, and was wondering what careers I should consider. I'm graduating this year with a B.S. so I would like to stick to a health/biology related field, if possible. Ideally, I'd like to work in a field that combines healthcare and marketing/advertising, maybe pharmaceutical marketing or something along those lines. If anyone has any ideas for careers or companies that I should look into, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!... 04 Dec 08, 07:12:31
Halifax: Is there a way to get out of paying for college tuition? bogus school?
I went to a legit school in TX, but in the end it was boo boo school I feel I did not learn anything there, I graduated and everything, got my assoc.'s degree but have not ever used it. At first when I applied I asked if I would make more money than what I was making (was making $14.50 hr) by the time I graduated they were right about, that they would always look for work for me, but the only offers that they gave me were $9.50 hr jobs, (I was thinking, I could of done that myself looked for a sucky pay job) And since I made too much they federal loan did not cover my total tuition @ $17,000. So they gave me 2 loans one for the tuition $13,000 and another in house loan for $4,000 so i h... 04 Dec 08, 07:12:45
Halifax: Which of these 2 real estate businesses would be more successful?
1. Selling Coach
For a much smaller commission than an agency (around .5% of anticipated list price) I will come to the house people want to sell, review it and tell them what to do to make it look best, as well as give them a personal estimate on what price to set, backing up the estimate with market data on similar homes sold. I will put their house up on MLS for a flat fee with their name to call if people are interested. I will coach them through all important knowledge about advertising, open houses, and negotiating. I will give them any paperwork needed to sell the home as well as a professional looking outline of their homes details. After all that, my job will be done and paid for. ... 04 Dec 08, 03:12:00

Halifax: Should I stick with translation go into advertising? ?
I LOVE foreign languages but the translator field seems really difficult to get into. Plus, most linguistics jobs are specifically for teaching degrees. I have also been interested in advertising. I am a college freshman and I want to know if I should change my major or not. I can't decide between the two. Obviously, if I choose advertising, foreign languages can only help me. However my true passion does involve foreign languages of some sort. What are your thoughts?... 03 Dec 08, 07:12:37
