Guildford: OB/GYN and Neonatal Surgeon?
Still in high school. I was wondering if an average student who maintains an A- and B+ average could become a Neonatal Surgeon, OB/GYN or a Prenatal Surgeon.
I know I am not an outstanding student grade wise but I am very involved extra curricular activities such as clubs and volunteering. (I don't know if that makes a difference) My strongest subject is Science and English. I love Bio (haven't take chemistry yet) I will be taking AP Bio when I am a senior. The only thing is math isn't my strongest subject. On average I have anywhere from an 80 to 85, but I did terrible my freshman year...I think I had an average in the 70's but I received and 85% on my state exams.

Guildford: what has been the best year of your life so far?
For me, I think it was 2003, cause I had my 1st full time job, its was a great hot summer, I acquired a boyfriend I liked a lot (and we lasted for a couple of yrs), I was 18 and I was just appreciating the right to be served in a pub legally and exploring so many new things. It was also the year I finished college and got my A-Levels and it was such an exciting time full of hope and discovery. What was your best year so far? do you ever get misty-eyed when u think of the memories, and why?... 05 Dec 08, 03:12:43
Guildford: Should I not tell them I have a Bachelor's degree?
I graduated last year with a BA in English Literature and am still trying to find a full time job. Jobs that require less than a Bachelor's degree don't want to hire someone who has one because they think you'll leave when you find something better. Those who do require the degree want years of experience along with it.
I am applying for a job as an administrative assistant at a law school. It's mostly clerical work, helping students register, faxing, answering phones, greeting visitors, etc. I worked at a college doing this kind of work for 6 years. This position only requires a high school diploma. Should I not mention that I have a degree in my resume? I actually w... 05 Dec 08, 03:12:03
Guildford: How Do You Turn This Into A Logical Statement like ~p^q and so forth?

Guildford: Does anybody know about Bard college? What are my chances?
I might just apply for the heck of it...but I know they only accept about 400 or 500 students. I'm 16, currently a sophomore. I am in all of the most advanced classes offered at my school, straight a's except 1 or two b's since 7th grade in just stupid typing classes or something like that. I have takin self taught classes on the computer and even over the summer. I am the only sophomore at my school taking honors pre-calculus, I'm with all juniors. I am involved in about 6 clubs, I have done volunteer work, I am in the process of getting a job and I am willing to work very very hard. I know its a long shot....and I can guarantee there are smarter and more motivated kids ... 05 Dec 08, 03:12:00
Guildford: What would this job be called?
I want to take classes and try to get a job in special effects. I like using things like Adobe After Effects and other special effects. I want to make special effects for movies and other media. What college classes would I take. What would this job be called. A special effects designer?... 05 Dec 08, 02:12:08
Guildford: I lost my motivation....?
I have so many plans and dreams, but i lack the drive to pursue them. The only two things that have motivated me all my life was the desire to be the best in my class and love. But my classes have become so difficult and now, i am with people who are a lot smarter than me. Love is not much of a motivation anymore either. I'm in love with someone, but i never see him. We only talk online, but i want to actually be near him. I don't think asking him out again (we went out before) is a good idea because i hate making things awkward. I'm just glad that we're still talking.
Where can i find some more motivation? I don't seem to care about college or my job or my stud... 05 Dec 08, 02:12:25
Guildford: What is ****The Birk Economic Recovery Plan****?
Do you think this would work? Why or Why Not?
****The Birk Economic Recovery Plan****
I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.
Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.
To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.
Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..
So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals
$425,000.00.
My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.
Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a tax rate... 05 Dec 08, 02:12:08
Guildford: I'm a senior in college, should I buy a car?
I just wanted some advice on whether I should buy a car or not. I'm a senior in college right now, so I'm just trying to buy something to get me to and from school as well as to and from job interviews (hopefully...lol). Right now I have about 8,000 bucks saved up and make about 400-600 per month at my part time job (I live at home...) so I was thinking maybe I should try to get a $4,000 car and and save the rest for emergencies just in case I need to pay for repairs or something? If so what kind of car would you recommend?... 05 Dec 08, 02:12:15
Guildford: translate to spanish please 10 points?
Dear Maggie
College was a great experience for me. I leaned so much! Your Spanish class was a huge help for me. College Spanish classes were so easy.
I also met lots of cool people. Two of my good friends were Hispanic. They also helped me with classes. It was so much fun to hang out with them. I also enjoyed going to the parties. Everybody seemed to be so friendly.
I lived in the dorms. They are nice. My roommate was very clean. He took 3 showers a day! His part of the room was always clean. He always ate healthy. He also exercised a lot.
My experiences in college were great. I had good grades. I hope they are good next semester. I do not want to go back to high school. I like it here i... 05 Dec 08, 02:12:14
