News Articles on Armed Forces Job in Guildford

Guildford: Is there an Arizona law?
I live in Arizona, and I currently work for a security company as an armed officer. There are many times i work 9, 10, 11, 12, even 13 hours and only getting paid for 8. Technically we, as supervisors, are being forced to stay to get the work done as our boss has threatened our jobs on several occasions. My boss has also harassed and insulted other employees. Can anyone assist me in finding the arizona law(s) stating that this kind of treatment is illegal? Also, I have received a minor (0.25 cents) reduction in pay. Is this also legal? Can anybody direct me to the website that states these laws. Also, is there a law for the maximum hours an armed officer can work in a 24 hour period? ...

Guildford: Is there some law against too much homework?
Yeah, I know it's long, but it flows So school starts at 7:30 and ends at 3:30. The average time it takes to get to school is 10 minutes without traffic, same with the return (factoring in traffic, it's about 30 minutes per). Add in 5 minute locker time before and after and 5 minutes to cross campus from locker to class and another 2 minutes per extra textbook (yes, the infamous though the school mandates us to work out of this textbook, i'm issuing an extra two. bring all three to class everyday unless specified otherwise and believe me, it's never otherwise) and 2 extra minutes to go up and down the stares with half your weight on your back/in your arms...

Guildford: Why current Ruling Indian Goverment is an idiot Goverment?
Mamohan Singh is simply a doll under an Italian Job Sonia is too busy dealing with her personal agenda with her LTTE issue, dealing close contacts with Sinhalese goverment and playing a double headed role, one side providing funding and military aid in helping Sri Lankan Gov and also condemning the killings of the Tamils. Looking at the way the commandos dealt with the Islamist terrorist, really stupid, KILLING the terrorist is not an ISSUE Indian Armed fools, Were u able to save the lives under the depedency of Indian Nation care ? You arent heros but fuking zero...shame on u, sri lankan army killed the innocent Tamils wanting to hit the LTTE emotionally and Indian Army is showing it...

Guildford: Why does the FBI give more weight to the USMC then the ARMY when hiring?
I constantly read how all branches are equal and train equally and are just as hard core as the next..im not a believer in this since only some jobs do physical work... yes,all branches are great and respected, but why does the FBI give more weight/consideration to the USMC when hiring for its Hostage Rescue Team(HRT)? If all combat MOS's are the same, as many argue and if both the Army and Marines get trained the same as many also argue, then why does a group like the FBI who is well respected, not agree with all of you? How can the army combat MOS's say they are just as equal as the USMC combat MOS's if even the FBI does not see it this way? The FBI will consider a...

Guildford: Jobs in the Britsh Armed Forces?
people may have heard me asking about law enforcement but i've given up on that. So seeming as i am british and seeking a bit of action in my life i wondered if there are any vision requirements to join the RAF, SAS or the Royal Marines. I wear glasses but should be getting my sight corrected as soon as possible but i was looking more at colour vision requirements....

Guildford: Why are jobs like pole dancing seen as immoral and exploitative whilst jewellery shops, cheap fashion are not?
Why are jobs like pole dancing seen as immoral and exploitative whilst jewellery shops, cheap fashion are not? lets see pole dancers get paid £20 / $40 for 5 minute dancing with no clothes... changing clothes, doing keep fit, getting muscles, dancing to music, cheering up those on 18th, 21st, and stag night celebrations or cheering up the lonley... Working out if full time £100/ hour as opposed to the minimim wage of £5.73 per hour for workers aged 22 years and older A development rate of £4.77 per hour for workers aged 18-21 inclusive ie not exactly exploitative when that can work out £175,000 a year nearly enough to buy a house for cash and by a Ferrahi the next year....

Guildford: Why is the Coast Guard considered armed forces while Border Patrol isn't?
To me it seems like they both have an extremely similar job. In many cases they actually work together. Just wondering some opinions. I understand they sometimes deploy, but their main mission is to guard the US coast. Just as the Boarder Patrol guards all US boarders and territories. Also, if you look at it, the Border Patrol has been having engagements with the Mexican Army consistently for the past few years....

Guildford: What do you think is required to be a weapons designer?
The job I would like would be to work for a company like Colt and design weapons to be used by the armed forces, I was wonder what is required to get that kind of job and what is recommended....

Guildford: Thinking of leaving the RAF Regiment?
I'm in Afghanistan at the moment and to be honest, it's shite. We've got crap equipment (better than the rest of the armed forces I know), it's a shit cause and it's unwinable. I'm 18, joined the RAF at 16. Been to Iraq, now in Afghanistan so I'd say I've done a lot for my age. But lately I just want to get back home and do the normal 18 year old things. I feel like I shouldn't be getting shelled at for no apparent reason while my mates sit and have a laugh every weekend. Then on the flip side, I love my job and this country and don't know what I'd do if I couldn't serve. Any input? Cheers Thanks for the answers so far. ...

Guildford: WWE offends Steve Anderson...Go Figure.?
This may be long, but you should read this..I actually think i totally agree with him...And i think you might as well...This is what Steve has to say about WWE. I pride myself on going against the grain. Call me a contrarian and an agitator at times. E-mailers have called me other names, but that is part of the job. Heck, I was the guy who practically defended WWE when Vince McMahon forced Trish Stratus to get on all fours and bark like a dog. Pause for the visual… However, this is one of the rare times when I will happily join the chorus of critics. I was one of many who saw the Jeff Hardy story on Sunday morning. I wondered if we had yet another tragedy on our hands. ...
