Gloucester: Temporary Job Advice?
I'm a college graduate with a bachelors and some sales/office jobs experience. I want to work in the marketing field but am having lots of trouble finding internships or entry level jobs in this field. That being said, i wanted to improve my resume with a temporary job. I've got an interview with waddell and reed for a financial advisor position and I'm also applying to AT&T and Verizon Wireless. Which of these jobs would look better on my resume for a marketing job? I really don't want to sell insurance (is this a bad time b/c of the economy?). I would rather sell products which i have some interest/familiarity in such as cell phones but if one will help me more in t... 03 Dec 08, 04:12:52

Gloucester: Should i take this job?
I have a job at a fastfood place making about 250-300 every 2 weeks, but thrusday i have a interview at walmart, and i know i will be making about 150-200 more on my check. But there is this girl and we have a VERY STRONG relationship and we just enjoy being around each other, we switch hours with other people just to work together, she even got a new job but didn't let this one go because of me. we go out to eat, shop, watch movies, etc. Also we have done the do (if you know what i mean) a couple times. i just know if i accept this job our relationship will break apart slowly because we build our relationship most at work. so what the hell should i do, i'm so confused.... 03 Dec 08, 04:12:09

Gloucester: Was I too harsh to my friend?
I have a friend that constantly tries to compete with me, and be better than me. however, she always fails. but overall we are pretty good friends.
recently, we went to hand in resumes together (she has low self-esteem and begged to tag along with me) i suggested that she should apply at this trendy shoe store. She said no because she didn't want to work with shoes, but i told her that they sell bags and accessories too. After she gave them her resume, she said that their not hiring. although i REALLY wanted to work there too, i didn't wanna hand in a resume because i only had a few left.
when i get home, she phones me excitedly that she just got a job interview at the shoe ... 03 Dec 08, 03:12:03

Gloucester: How can i tell early if i got the job or not?
I applied for a job today, They are hiring for hoildays. And I filled out the application online. They set up a phone interview with me a couple hours later. And did the phone interview. I think it went very well. He said he would let me know in email by sunday if i got the job or not. Last time I did the same thing for a different job, and after the phone interview was done, he set up a face to face interview at that same time then got the job. So does anyone know how the hiring job system works? I could really use some pointers because i really want a job and i want to give them what they want to know. So if anyone know some hints on how it works...please let me know... 03 Dec 08, 03:12:57
