Gloucester: I can't decide on what career I want to do. help me decide?
have 3 things I'm interested in:
One is making movies. Me and my friends make movies all the time and I love the thrill of thinking up good storylines and dramatic plots, as well as I love acting (I have no acting lessons as of yet). It's a ton of fun.
Two, I'm considering acting. I know it's a long stretch, but I love the fun of it and I love the drama actors like Will Smith and Tom Cruise can portray in their films, one being Will Smith in I Am Legend. I think it'd be very fun to be able to portray that same drama in big films (I'm not looking for small independent film making).
Third and final thing is video game programming. I love programming and a... 03 Dec 08, 03:12:13
Gloucester: Here is my basic proposal on a new system of public education. What is your opinion?
On the Issue of Education
The goal of public education is to provide a well-rounded education as well as an opportunity to follow a more narrowed path towards a desired career. Students will be required to learn the basic subjects: English, math, history, science, music/art, nutrition and physical fitness. Once the core requirements have been completed, students will be able to choose a path, if confident about their career choice, or be able to continue pursuing the liberal arts while be able to experiment with other subjects as well. By providing interests that will cater to all, we hope to decrease the drop out rate and have stronger young men and women entering the workforce u... 03 Dec 08, 12:12:24
Gloucester: What should I be when I grow up?
I am not sure...
I like art, but don't know if i should find my career based on that...
I am also good at math,
but i do not like nor am good at english/writing,
history doesnt interest me, and neither do such jobs as a lawyer or doctor...
but i DO want to make a good amount of money. (actually, a REALLY good amount of money, but i guess i can settle for anything that will leave me well off...)
some careers that kind of jump out at me are:
architecture, animation/graphic design, and film.
i LOVE movies, and looking at designs for things,
although i love art, i feel that math is what i'm good at.
so if these two can be incorporated in any way?

Gloucester: Any thoughts on Eisenhower?
In my history class today we watched a film on the space race following Sputnik's launch. In the film President Eisenhower was shown to be extremely against taking a military action against the Soviets, while many civilians and politicians were freaked by the satellite and felt that bombs would soon be falling from the sky. Lyndon Johnson, in fact, felt that the Russians would soon be dropping bombs on us like a child drops rocks onto cars from a freeway overpass.
Eisenhower seemed enraged that his focus had to be taken off the economy and focused upon satellites. Yet other politicians accused him of being weak and asleep on the job . Eventually he caved and began to funn... 02 Dec 08, 11:12:11
Gloucester: must film directors be intelligent?
To become a film director one must be intelligent right? I assume an extraordinary knowledge is required to do the job. Gloucester: Should I use my real name?
I just recently graduated Film School, and need something that pays the bills. So while looking for work, I came across a xxx company that needs people. I eventually want to write/direct real movies, but I need to make ends meat, plus this job is something I wouldn't mind doing.
The problem is, is that soon I will be directing. When people watch my work, I want them to know it's me entertaining them, but than again Hollywood frowns at that type of thing.
Should I use my real name? Also if you don't believe me, humor me, and pretend that you do.
god, I didn't expect so many people to answer. And I sure as hell didn't expect so many women to know so much about porn... 02 Dec 08, 07:12:15
Gloucester: Do you believe the following article regarding Muslims?
Islam is not a religion, nor is it a cult. In its fullest form, it is a complete, total, 100% system of life.
Islam has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military components. The religious component is a beard for all of the other components.
Islamization begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their religious privileges.
When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other components tend to creep in as well.
Here's how it works.
As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be for the most... 02 Dec 08, 07:12:44

Gloucester: Will majoring in Creative Writing get me anywhere? (College help)?
Hello. I currently attend University of Houston and want to major in English Creative Writing because it is the only thing I'm good at... but would it get me anywhere other than being a teacher? I heard it was hard to get a job with an English major. I'm not that great of a student (I don't excel above most people) just an average student, I don't have connections at all or many friends. I do have a passion though in Filming. It would be nice to work with the movie or entertainment industry or help create movies or shows but I heard it would be hard to get anywhere if you don't live in L.A, California or don't even have connections. I doubt I can even move to L.... 02 Dec 08, 02:12:18
