Gloucester: Why so anti-union in regards to the Auto Industry?
As a UAW Ford hourly who doesn't get $70 hr, we have made big concessions on our last 2007 national contract, and wer'e about to give up our job bank as we speak. Tommorrow, the UAW is having a emergency meeting to discuss additional concessions when the union renegotiates our current contract. How come they keep sending assembly plants to Mexico, and call them American made? But what will our executives, managers, supervisors and salaried give up? As an insider, we have way too many chiefs in each facility. The auto industry and unions have brought so much to this country. Fair wages, lunch breaks, health benefits, equal employment labor rights, and provided military transportation... 03 Dec 08, 04:12:51
Gloucester: What has the Department of Energy accomplished in the last thirty one years?
Bottom line . . we've spent several hundred billion dollars in support of an agency the reason for which not one person who reads will know or can recall. Ready? It was very simple, and at the time everybody thought it very appropriate. The Department of Energy was instituted 8-04-1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil! Pretty efficient, huh?
And now it is 2008, 31 years later and the budget for this necessary department is at $24.2 billion a year. They have 16,000 federal employees and approximately 100,000 contract employees and look at the the job they have done! Can you list some accomplishments or is this were we slap our forehead and say 'what were we thinking?... 03 Dec 08, 04:12:35
Gloucester: How many of you believe that everything happens for a reason?
I was previously married for three years, I left my husband in August, he had cheated on me while i was being hospitalized. I wasn't as upset with the divorce as i thought i would be, i'm actually alot happier. However, I still love my husband very much i believe that i always will. Anyways since I left my ex I have been testing the waters but have had extremely bad luck the past 3 months or so and not with just relationships, I mean everything. When i left my husband I found a Roommate, it was great. We got along real well. He then fell for me so it made it very hard to meet new people or have anyone come over because he would freak out. Everything started going down hill, My romm... 03 Dec 08, 02:12:40

Gloucester: What do I do if I decide to change my name?
I was thinking about changing my name but I was wondering if I could just start using a different one. I know the banks and insurance companies won't accept my new name. But can I just start using my name on other things like college application or job application or will they want my old name. Would it be better to go through the long process of legally changing my name?... 02 Dec 08, 09:12:09

Gloucester: Should I get this purse?
I'm 18 years old, and since I was 12 years old I have been looking for a purse that I would actually use. I tried a few, and I've looked at a ton, but never found anything special. There is this bag I just saw at Urban Outfitters this past Sunday night, and I fell in love with it. The problem is, it's 68$, and I JUST made a bank account, and I'm trying hard to not spend the money (I only have $165, from working as an election officer). With the economy, I can't even get a job right now (I have tried many times, and I don't want to make excuses but I have OCD and it gets in the way). I'm still in school, and the bag would be perfect. It hasn't left my m... 02 Dec 08, 08:12:27
Gloucester: Why does your credit score matter when you get a job?
My dream job is to work in a bank and I have yet to do so because of my credit. I personnally feel like if a person has bad or poor they should be just as eligible as a person with better credit. We all need jobs so we can make money. If I cant get a job to make money, how can these employers expect me to get my credit back on track?
Redhair--No wasy have I said that I CANT work at all. Im just saying the place where I would LIKE to work is somewhere that hires based on credit. As a matter of fact, I dont have to work. My hubby supports our family.... 02 Dec 08, 05:12:30
Gloucester: Can you consolidate loans if you have bad credit?
I have an insane amount of student loans and since the economy went south, so did my chances of a job in that field that would have helped with repayment. I barely make any money as it is and now I have the student loan creditors after me and a person who cosigned one of my loans. This past year my credit went from great to horrible. I want to consolidate my loans in hopes of a smaller monthly payment, but someone mentioned that if you have bad credit it doesn't help. I feel like I was misinformed by the school I attended and am having trouble getting the right information. Does anyone know a good place to go to get info on help with student loans? I know it sounds silly, but wouldn... 02 Dec 08, 04:12:02
