Glastonbury: Is it possible to get a job involved with children with only an undergraduate degree?
Hello,
I am currently working as an English teacher in South Korea. I have been doing this for 3 years now. I also have a degree in psychology.
I plan to come home in a few months and would like a job working with children. I was wondering if anyone knows of any available jobs where a teaching certificate is not essential?
Thank you!... 03 Dec 08, 04:12:20

Glastonbury: Please help me I'm Homeless?
Please help me. For the past week I've been living in random spots around town. I'm 21 (male) and I'm trying to get a job at a local factory when there is a position available. The staffing agencies say that people usually quit after New Years, so my chances of getting a job then is pretty good. I live in Muscatine, IA and I want to get my G.E.D. at the local community college so I can eventually go to real college and make a decent life for myself. I thought I would come here and ask, because I live in a relatively small town, if I stand near an intersection and beg for money I will probably get arrested and I can't afford to pay any fines and I probably won't be ab... 03 Dec 08, 02:12:27
Glastonbury: HELP EDIT MY SPEECH!?
This is my assignment: Write your own speech, (2-4 pp.), where you put yourself in the context of your times and propose your own plan for improving American education and national leadership.
This is my speech:
In these times of economic woe, prestigious affordable schools are almost impossible to find. In fact most people like you and me can only afford community college and will never go on to become successful lawyers or doctors. No instead those jobs are left for the graduates from more prestigious universities. And admission to these Universities is near impossible unless you have money or an extreme amount of intelligence.
Yes schools have come very far, but they have only gone... 03 Dec 08, 02:12:53

Glastonbury: Important question about career/schooling future?
I'm definitely going to college...no doubt about it. I'm almost done with my high school career, and sincerely hoping to be valedictorian. I'm in all honors classes, every accelerated class my school offers, and take every available AP class and have never gotten an average below a 90 since i started my schooling. My GPA is averaging around 3.95, i write great essays and am a general over-achiever.
my question is, what profession should i go into? i need something that will keep my mind occupied and busy, + something that makes a lot of money to support my lifestyle (ie over 150K, more like 200K). i have been thinking about going into the medical field, but i dont know wh... 03 Dec 08, 12:12:38
