Glastonbury: I know the economy sucks right now and it's hard to get a job but it can't be impossible?
Yeah, I'm sixteen but I really need a job. I've applied at six places that aren't hiring and two places that are hiring.
I'm not sure who else hires a sixteen year old. If you could - please give me direct names of places and businesses, it would be much appreciated.
(I'm in Denver, CO so a lot of opportunities)... 03 Dec 08, 03:12:59
Glastonbury: HELP EDIT MY SPEECH!?
This is my assignment: Write your own speech, (2-4 pp.), where you put yourself in the context of your times and propose your own plan for improving American education and national leadership.
This is my speech:
In these times of economic woe, prestigious affordable schools are almost impossible to find. In fact most people like you and me can only afford community college and will never go on to become successful lawyers or doctors. No instead those jobs are left for the graduates from more prestigious universities. And admission to these Universities is near impossible unless you have money or an extreme amount of intelligence.
Yes schools have come very far, but they have only gone... 03 Dec 08, 02:12:53
Glastonbury: How many of you believe that everything happens for a reason?
I was previously married for three years, I left my husband in August, he had cheated on me while i was being hospitalized. I wasn't as upset with the divorce as i thought i would be, i'm actually alot happier. However, I still love my husband very much i believe that i always will. Anyways since I left my ex I have been testing the waters but have had extremely bad luck the past 3 months or so and not with just relationships, I mean everything. When i left my husband I found a Roommate, it was great. We got along real well. He then fell for me so it made it very hard to meet new people or have anyone come over because he would freak out. Everything started going down hill, My romm... 03 Dec 08, 02:12:40

Glastonbury: What other career options are available to a recent graduate with a Masters in psychology?
I just got my Masters degree in experimental psychology and have found the job market most unkind. I am willing to go back to school for psych, or something completely different. Glastonbury: How safe is it to teach English in Seoul, South Korea?
I am excited about this opportunity to see new places and meet Koreans, but my friends and family thinks it is a bad idea. They have gone so far as to say I might die because it's too dangerous. I think it will be fine because I love Starcraft and have met mostly friendly Koreans online while playing, but I'd like some reassurance. I may be offered a job with Hyland English making 30,000$ a year. Is it a good amount to make there? I'd like to know if the cost of living is the same, higher or lower than north Texas, USA. I hope things work out because I've always wanted to be around people who know what Starcraft is! Most Americans have no clue about the game, but I hear i... 03 Dec 08, 12:12:19
Glastonbury: Here is my basic proposal on a new system of public education. What is your opinion?
On the Issue of Education
The goal of public education is to provide a well-rounded education as well as an opportunity to follow a more narrowed path towards a desired career. Students will be required to learn the basic subjects: English, math, history, science, music/art, nutrition and physical fitness. Once the core requirements have been completed, students will be able to choose a path, if confident about their career choice, or be able to continue pursuing the liberal arts while be able to experiment with other subjects as well. By providing interests that will cater to all, we hope to decrease the drop out rate and have stronger young men and women entering the workforce u... 03 Dec 08, 12:12:24
