Glastonbury: I'm a masculine guy, right? So I work a desk job that helps kids and I get insurance. Also a farmer. But.....?
I get really emotional about some things. Like the death of a pet, some guy had to put his dog down and posted about it this morning. So I'm off and on all day and I can't stop thinking about it. How sad he must be. And I sniffle.
I read in the paper today about local parents of twins, a few months old, and one dies of crib death. And I'm devestated.
Another war death was announced, And I just hang my head.
I saw another dead animal on the road keeping getting hit and it really bothered me on my commute home.
Now I'm a pretty tough guy, but lately something is going on where either the world has gotten more cruel or I''m going into one of those I ne... 03 Dec 08, 04:12:26
Glastonbury: Is it possible to get a job involved with children with only an undergraduate degree?
Hello,
I am currently working as an English teacher in South Korea. I have been doing this for 3 years now. I also have a degree in psychology.
I plan to come home in a few months and would like a job working with children. I was wondering if anyone knows of any available jobs where a teaching certificate is not essential?
Thank you!... 03 Dec 08, 04:12:20
Glastonbury: Yahoo email SPAM complaint letter.Fwd on if u too r sick of NO spam filters using Yahoo free email service!?
Anyone feel free to copy this below letter and forward to Yahoo customer service at: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/forms_index.html
To whom it may concern at Yahoo's free e-mail customer service:
The time has come to finally consider upgrading your spam diagnostics software on the FREE e-mail accounts too, and not just the petty $20/year premium e-mail service. Yahoo e-mail does a HORRIBLE job filtering spam from my inbox & this has ongoing problem for YEARS & YEARS.
The reporting of spam to Yahoo over and over has resulted in zero benefits of alleviating the problem. I continue to receive several hundred e-mails, that are CLEARLY SPAM before ev... 03 Dec 08, 04:12:31

Glastonbury: What do I do? please help?
I am 30 and live with my father due to things that happened to me financially. I have lived on my own before with my own place so it's not like I've always lived with him. Right now I have a job that I like and it pays decent ($32k a yr). I take him about $1,000 every 2 weeks. My question is..do I stay living with my father or move out now into my own apartment? I have mixed emotions on this since I am afraid of moving into another apt that has toxic mold in it and also I am single and have 2 dogs that I will be walking at night at the apt. I am not really saving money right now since I eat out all the time since I don't have a kitchen in the place I stay in. I have a c... 03 Dec 08, 04:12:32
Glastonbury: My 17 year old daughter was busted for selling alcohol to minors ?
She worked as a part-time cashier for Foodlion as an after-school job. She was preoccupied checking out customers one afternoon (it was very busy and she had a long line) and some kid brought up a can of what seemed to be one of those energy drinks and she rang it through without thinking about it. It turned out that the customer behind the young man was an undercover agent and what the young man had purchased was an alcoholic drink. (I'm Mormon, I don't drink alcohol, and I don't even know what it was or how to identify it. My daughter didn't know what it was, either.) She got fired from her job, of course, and came home in tears. I was so sad for her, becaus... 03 Dec 08, 04:12:23
Glastonbury: What do you do when you've had a bad day?
I just had one of those days where everything went wrong. Got a parking ticket, was late for work, they changed my schedule, ruined my clothes, late getting home to do my work from home job...... 03 Dec 08, 04:12:20
Glastonbury: Has anyone ever heard of ICG Commerce?
I posted a resume online and I was contacted by someone from this company and I don't know much about it. The job is home-based and I know there are a lot of scams out there, some I've seen and are easy to spot, but this looks like a legitimate job. I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about the company and can give me some insight.
No, they aren't asking for money western union or anything to that effect and I've already verified through the Better Business Bureau that they are based out of Pennsylvania so they aren't a Nigerian scam company so far...... 03 Dec 08, 03:12:11
Glastonbury: A puppy for the Holidays?
A few days ago I made a poster that I had the intention of posting at our local puppy selling pet store, just to spite them. So this Pet store has been selling Ori-Pei's which just about makes me want to throw up...because they're telling people that it is a new breed. I've decided that it's now my job to inform the people that come into Petsmart (where I work as a groomer) that it is NOT a breed. But I digress because I'm getting pissed off again about it...
So after this encounter with the Ori Pei owners I went home and made a poster with four dogs on it who were euthanized on Thanksgiving Day at a kill shelter. And I put a small paragraph above it say... 03 Dec 08, 03:12:39
Glastonbury: Do you think employers find it easy to fire a woman from a job if she's married and her husband has a job?
My daughter, who is married and is the mother of a 2 year old boy, was fired from her job for not following proper procedure. She had worked at that job for more than five years, had done quite well in her positions, had been promoted and received a few pay raises over the years.
She made a mistake, which could have been bad had she not caught it in time, reported the mistake to her supervisor and was sent home for the day while the mistake was investigated. Well, she admitted that the mistake was a result of incomplete preparation on her part, but disaster was averted when she caught it in time and made things right, but she still reported her mistake so that the supervisor could hel... 03 Dec 08, 03:12:18
