I am planning on looking for a job when i am 16,about march. I am earning the money to pay for my high school. It is a private school that i am very comforable with unlike my public school. After my sophomore year, my parents can pay for one more year at the school. about $6400 i beleive. So if my dad paid for my junior year, that would give me two summers to get $6400. Glastonbury: Here is my basic proposal on a new system of public education. What is your opinion?
On the Issue of Education
The goal of public education is to provide a well-rounded education as well as an opportunity to follow a more narrowed path towards a desired career. Students will be required to learn the basic subjects: English, math, history, science, music/art, nutrition and physical fitness. Once the core requirements have been completed, students will be able to choose a path, if confident about their career choice, or be able to continue pursuing the liberal arts while be able to experiment with other subjects as well. By providing interests that will cater to all, we hope to decrease the drop out rate and have stronger young men and women entering the workforce u... 03 Dec 08, 12:12:24
Glastonbury: Any thoughts on Eisenhower?
In my history class today we watched a film on the space race following Sputnik's launch. Glastonbury: Could you give me some debate points for my topic: the new deal?
i just need some fresh ideas besides my own. I have to debate the new deal which includes:
Public works administration (PWA)
Works progress administration (WPA)
the agricultural act
the social security act of 1935
i have to debate AGAINST it. even if you are for the new deal i would like to hear your opinion so i can be ready for what my opponent might say. i'd love to hear anything you would like to say about it.
if you don't know what the new deal is, its the program the governent created to end the great depression. the government gave people jobs to help to get them back on their feet. again anythin you have to say i'd love to hear!!!... 02 Dec 08, 10:12:15
