Glastonbury: Why so anti-union in regards to the Auto Industry?
As a UAW Ford hourly who doesn't get $70 hr, we have made big concessions on our last 2007 national contract,and wer'e about to give up our job bank as we speak. Tommorrow, the UAW is having a emergency meeting to discuss additional concessions when the union renegotiates our current contract. How come they keep sending assembly plants to Mexico, and call them American made? But what will our executives, managers, supervisors and salaried give up? As an insider, we have way too many chiefs in each facility. The auto industry and unions have brought so much to this country. Since quality healthcare can be a matter of life or death, should all Americans have equal access to it? If yes, why don't they? If no, why shouldn't they?

Are there any solid careers (solid meaning you can actually find employment and it doesn't pay less than the $40,000 mark) for someone who enjoys these things very much?
I assume professorship might be an option, though the schooling required may not equal the annual salary for these type of profs. Don't know much about becoming a critic, but perhaps this is an option, as well?

Glastonbury: Question About Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) And The Process After Mediation?
Okay so, I went through the EEOC and filed a claim.. We have already went through our mediation and I won and should be recieving a settlement.. How long am I supposed to be waiting?! All this was done and finalized on the 21st of October.
No, it was agreed there that day and we all signed papers saying that I get my settlement within 30 days after it has been approved.. Guess I am asking, how long does it take the EEOC to approve the results?... 03 Dec 08, 02:12:58
