Germany: Loans available for people who want to start up a small business but who do not have a job?
Hi I'm 17 and I want to start my own business which is going to be a small airport transfers business so a bus going from the airport to the eastern suburbs.
I was wondering if the bank would let me get a loan of say $6,000 max. So I can buy a van, pay for insurance and all the application fees, etc.
I've tried applying for a government grant but they said they don't give grants out to people starting up a business only for existing business owners.
I've had the odd job here and there but they haven't lasted more than 3 months and on the minimum wage.
Can anyone help??
Thanks heaps!... 02 Dec 08, 04:12:58

I watch the Al-Jazeera news about the number of homeless people that's growing in numbers in the United States due to high rates of joblessness. The foreclosures of housing and realastates is sky rocketing at this period that forces the locals to leave their houses. To tell you the truth,i'm shocked to see and hear what had happened in United States today. The tent cities in every states is growing like a refugee camp which reminds me of the Katrina hurricane victims but this time it's a very different kind of Katrina that is hitting the whole nation. It also reminds me of the homeless people that lives in camps such as in Iraq.I guess it's pretty hard to live in America nowd... 02 Dec 08, 04:12:18
Germany: Where do the coalition parties stand on the Colombia free trade agreement? ?
You know--the one the Harper government just rammed through by exploiting the financial crisis. It made great media spin. With all that was happening at the time, it was politically incorrect to oppose it. What a crock.
Many are saying it was Harper's parting gift to his friend, George Bush, to help George Bush ram the US-Colombia free trade deal through their Congress before he leaves office.
Yes, a time when Canadians will start losing jobs due to the recession the Harper government quietly kicked off the another exodus of jobs to a country with a deplorable human rights record where labour leaders and human rights activists are routine assassinated.
Do you think this might h... 02 Dec 08, 04:12:55

Germany: Help! Is there any type of Government help for my situation?
Okay, I think it's a little f'd up the way the government decide what is low income and what is not! Seriously! I make approximately 50,000 a year and I have a son. I have 20,000 + in student loan, $1000 childcare expense, $1200 rent for a 1 Bedroom! (and it's not even those great ones! It's the Okay built in the 80's apartment complex!) and that's the cheapest I could get for a safe area!, thank goodness the gas went down b/c I would've been paying 60 a week just for gas! Anyway, to get to my point! I have so many freaken bills and with this stupid economy what I'm making is BARELY enough to survive! Even when... 02 Dec 08, 02:12:31
Germany: Bush sorry economic crisis has cut jobs, 401 (k)s. Your thoughts?
By DEB RIECHMANN, Associated Press Writer Deb Riechmann, Associated Press Writer – 8 mins ago
WASHINGTON – President George W. Bush expressed remorse that the global financial crisis has cost jobs and harmed retirement accounts and said he'll back more government intervention if needed to ease the recession.
I'm sorry it's happening, of course, Bush said in a wide-ranging interview with ABC's World News, which was airing Monday. Obviously I don't like the idea of people losing jobs, or being worried about their 401(k)s. On the other hand, the American people got to know that we will safeguard the system. I mean, we're in. ... 02 Dec 08, 01:12:55

Germany: Should we bail out the auto industry?
Although I admit that it wasn't a good idea for the CEOs to come in private jets, the auto industry is vital towards our economy and just about everything else. If they went out of business, not only would it cost millions of jobs, it would most likely create a monopoly, and you could say goodbye to customer service and marketing. Also, if people don't have cars, they couldn't get to as many stores and such that would help the economy. However, this needs to be an opportunity for the the automakers to make better cars. My proposal is that the government should give each of the big three a hefty loan, and the percent of emissions that are cut down should be the percent of the l... 02 Dec 08, 01:12:51
