Gatwick: Which graduate program for Marketing/Advertising is the best?
Hello, I recently graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design and am currently considering graduate school. I would like to break free from the world of production work and move more towards creative director side of things. I assume a masters in advertising is a good way to do this? I'm having a little trouble gathering info on the various programs, so hopefully someone can shed some light on it for me. Which schools have good reputations and will be the most likely to help me get a job post graduation. Also, I am seriously considering Europe for my masters, what kind a reputation/connotations do these schools have compared with the states? Are the degrees equivalent or is the 1 year eu...

I want to work in South Yorkshire, anyone got any companies to suggest, or anyone been in this position? Many thanks x...

Gatwick: How has job searching changed in today's economy?
I'm a Graphic Design senior and am in a class for seniors. In class, we are addressing the upcoming job search all of us will soon be facing as Graphic Designers. My teacher pointed out that this year, helping students find jobs will be much different because, due to the economy, it's really a whole new ball game . So what I'm wondering is, how has job searching changed in today's economy? Both in general, and in regards to Graphic Design/the arts and job availability. I know it's not an easy question - any help and resources would be EXTREMELY helpful. Thank you very much!...

Gatwick: My 250 word scholarship essay ?
This is my essay. In it we have to state our career goals and how we plan on achieving them. It must contain explicit information and ideas. At a young age I started to design. I would draw blueprints of amusements parks, think up inventions, and plan out architecture. But as I have grown up, so have my design pursuits matured. I plan to take graphic design to a new level. What I wish to do with my degree is replace, refine, and renew (Whether it is to make something ugly, beautiful, or to make something poorly designed into something functional). I wish to take my design instinct and incorporate it for the turn of this century. With the shift from an electronics age into a biolo...

Gatwick: I'm having a lot of trouble finding a job, any tips?
I have an associates degree in general studies, and I have background in graphic design and art. I'm great with computers, people, animals, and children. I have a substitute teaching certificate, and I'm a really hard worker. I don't have a lot of work experience, but I'm completely willing to be trained at anything. I need a job really soon, for my sanity's sake!! Because I've been spending way way way too much time alone, and I really need the money too boot, so getting a job is a win-win!...

Gatwick: Can I Please Have a Job?
Just moved to Brooklyn NY... ready to work. I have worked fast food, retail, and factory/warehouse work before in Ohio. But haven't worked for a year because I went back to college to finish my Graphic Design programs. I'm very frustrated right now, because I've been looking everyday all day for a month and just kind find a job, I realize that the economy is really bad, but most all people I've encountered in the service industry around here either are incredibly rude, or don't speak a word of English... yet they have the jobs. I consider myself to be a creative person, but I can also be a good general labor worker/ washing dishes/ cleaning / anything. I just n...
