Gatwick: can i realistically make it to her wedding?
my little sister is getting married in october. we've been estranged for many years but recently got back in touch. i am desperate to go to her wedding (she invited me) but she lives in australia and i live in china. my problem is this - my job won't give me time off, (as i get chinese and western holidays off already) so the only time i could use is 5 periods of class time which is my sick leave per term (aghhh don't get me started on that!).....so, i could leave thursday night from china, miss my two friday classes, make it to her wedding saturday evening, get a flight back to china sunday night, and miss my three monday classes.

In October I applied for a Job at a home caring for the elderly and the mentally and physically ill. I didn't hear back from them so I had thought that they didn't choose me for the position. I continued working for the home care company I was working for until I got an email on the 5th of December asking me if I wanted the job. At this point I was in a bad situation because I was moving out of my apartment and had no where in town to live and intended on going home for the holidays. I told the manager this and she seemed to be okay with it.

heres my situation. I was able to get a seasonal job. Which now im fired. i was on unemployment. Anyways i was waiting for my claim form for weeks to come so i can get a check, and i never got it. FINNALY i got after christmas. But on the claim form it says mail back before 12.22.08 . But they sent it to me late. So im really confused. I applied for the job because it was on weekdays only, and I would only have to work until about 2, which is what I wanted because my husband doesn't work weekends and gets off around 3.
