Gatwick: Looking for Job for accountant/ auditor/ tax / finance in London, UK?
Hi, I'm an ACCA Affiliate with over 18 months practical experience + 12 months accountancy experience in retail. I am currently working at a small/medium firm where I feel my potential is not being reached. I am therefore looking to move on to a new role with a lot more responsibilities and better prospects. However I have found agencies are a complete waste of time. Hence I need advice on the best way to find this new job/role in anything from Accountancy/Auditing to Taxation or Finance related - given the scope of ACCA, I am well rounded in all of those fields. I am looking to work in a large organisation with naturally a salary that matches my experience. Thanks,...

Gatwick: Confused about careers!?
I have a passion for music. I do 3 instruments and singing lessons, and have reached high grades in all of them with ABRSM. I am currently doing, Welsh Language, Welsh Literature, English Language, English Literature, Maths, Double Science, History, Music, I.T, Business and Astronomy for GCSE's. For my A-level I am definitely doing music, maybe maths, maybe Business, and not sure about my 4th yet. My dream would be to do BA, MA and PHD in music, but with music being so competitive, I would not like to be a musician, just a music teacher or lecturer. I also love maths and business, and would love a job with that too. If I were to music in uni, and suddenly change my mind, wou...

Gatwick: Freshly graduate chef: how easy is it to find a job and a question about salary?
I am 18, male and I am having a really difficult time deciding which profession to take. Accounting or Culinary Arts. I love to cook but I am not good or bad at it. Let's say that what I cook is edible. Then, I want to have my own business someday so I guess a bachelor's degree in Accountancy and Business Management will help. I just want to ask how easy is it for a freshly graduate culinary school student to find a job. Like chef de partie. I also want to have an idea about the salary of freshly grad chefs if ever they find a job. I know it depends on the place, but what is the possible lowest salary there is. I don't care if it's not that high, I just want a sala...

Gatwick: SHOULD YOU FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS OR SHOULD YOU SETTLE FOR WHAT YOU HAVE?
Im serious in asking the above question??! How does everyone decide?? Im 32, I have worked in sales jobs since I was 16, I have savings, friends, and a relatively good life. Im intelligent, full of ideas and hard working but Im not happy! Since I was a young girl I have envisioned myself with my own business in New York, its a dream and its something I have always pushed to the back of my mind as something unobtainable. Recently Im having a complete life assessment and established through this the areas of employment that seriously interest me.(accountancy/sports/hotel management) Im pleased with this as it connects to the areas that I would either happily work in or given the chance hav...
