France: Disability insurance problem!!?
Since late early august, I've been out of work on medical leave. I have a herniated disc in my C spine and bulging disc in my L spine. I've been receiving benefits since late august. My disability insurance stop paying disability benefits since october 30. My doctor said it may take my back to heal within six months to a year and he has me onavoid lifting rescrictions. My job involves heavy lifting throughout the entire day. Personally, i still feel lousy and still feel pain in my back without lifting anything. It's clear to me i still have a big problem. How can my insurance cutt me off of disability benefits? Is this illegal? Should i get a lawyer?... 02 Dec 08, 04:12:30
France: what can you do with an AA in psychology ?
Ok, so I went to school to become a medical assistant after high school, ( what a waste of Sallie Mae's money ) then after that I joined the Air Force and now i'm an Med-Evac technician. I love my job but currently i'm reserve and I want to stay that way and go back to school, here's the problem. I don't want to be an RN..or even an LPN. Love the field, but it's not what I want to do with my life. I want to be a social worker, or work in mental type of health field. I have a lot of credits and im thinking of turning them into an AA in Psychology, then later going for a Bach. in Social work. Will I have more open doors with an AA in psychology? or mor... 02 Dec 08, 04:12:02

France: Are medical lab scientists and cytotechnologists interchangable?
I am looking at getting a degree in either laboratory science or cytotechnology. I see schools that offer one or the other and reading their websites the jobs seem to overlap somewhat but with cytotechnologists having a strong emphasis on cells. Im confused because it seems that both have to be registered by the ASCP but cyto techs make quite a bit more money. If you are a cyto tech can you get a job as lab scientist? or vice versa... which has more room for advancement? although I see that both can be stepping stones to med school or other medical careers. Which is most VERSATILE as far as career options like forensics ect..... thanks !!... 02 Dec 08, 02:12:39
France: Teacher Quitting Mid Year (TX)?
I need serious help. I just started teaching on a probationary certificate in Texas. Its just about mid-year and I can't make my bills. I'm supporting my husband and son (husband can not work right now) and the money just isn't there.
How bad is this going to look on my resume? I realize my principal isn't going to give me a stellar review for leaving mid year but will I ever find any kind of job again? This just isn't working out and I'm seriously worried.
I've tried to apply for TANF/FoodStamps, but I apparently make too much for that. Moving to a smaller apartment probably won't make much of a difference and I can't afford medic... 02 Dec 08, 01:12:30
