Voting Question: Does anybody know of a 'cheap' New Year's Eve break to Amsterdam leaving from anywhere in the UK?
My friends want to all go to Amsterdam for New Years Eve. We are all prepared to go by ferry or coach or airline... whatever is cheapest. I have heard you can get cheap breaks travelling by bus for about £150 but I can't find anything on the net about this. Have also seen bus trips advertised in local papers many years ago (one that sticks in my head was called the 'Can-a-bus' leaving from Folkestone). Can anybody help? 02 Sep 08, 04:09:59

Folkestone: Why are my dreams coming true?
Last month I dreamt about HP sauce, which I never eat and haven't seen recently. The morning after I went downstairs for breakfast and my Dad was laughing whilst pulling a bottle of HP sauce out of a cereal packet and asking how it got there (I didn't put it there, it was probably my mum or brother). Last Friday night I dreamt of being in a pub and winning £75 on a fruit machine, I went to a pub the next day and hadn't been on a fruit machine for a couple of years, my friend who doesn't go on them either went on one and won £40. Then last night I dreamt of being in Hastings and looking out to the sea and could see France and the Eiffel Tower and buildings very clearly across the sea, I also dreamt that someone was telling me I talk a lot in my sleep. At dinner today my Dad said he was at Dover or Folkestone today and he could see France the clearest he's ever seen it, then my mum started saying how my Dad was waking her up by talking so much in his sleep. 21 Jul 08, 09:07:38
Folkestone: Why have our British Government embarrassed us with the treatment of the Gurkha's?
They shoud have full pension rights and the right to stay in the UK or have medical treatment here if they had returned to Napal. They came here to fight to protect US, its true they often joined to improve their lives and that of their families and the British Army is often a traditional way for them to do that but we owe the Gurkha's so much for the fearless way they risk their lives.
Many outsiders have been given rights for asylum or have come to the UK to improve their lives from the EU and some of these people have no loyalty to us at all, this country has been like a Trojan Horse that has unleashed from within an army that will send in suicide bombers to harm us, while kick our friends in the teeth. The Lib Democrat councillor Peter Carroll of Folkestone where they are based in the UK together with Nick Clegg have been fighting for the Gurkha's and we should all be fighting with them. 15 Jul 08, 08:07:40
