I am XXXX an undergraduate student of Computer Engineering at the University of Tor Vergata. I am 22 years old and I live in Rome, my hometown.
Since I was a little child I wanted to travel, and spend some time in a foreign country and culture; I am an open-minded girl that likes to meet new people, cultures and styles of life.
This is the main reason because last year I decided to leave Italy and live one year outside my home, and my country. I reached the ... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:14

Folkestone: lonely and isolated when writing essays?
i'm a third year psych undergrad and have been quite happy at university 'til now. i feel tired all of the time and i have a lot of work at the moment.
i've fallen out with many of my friends as they have either graduated and found full time jobs or are still getting drunk and messing about; which i do not want to do.
it feels lonely when all you do is go to the library and study by yourself all day; i feel like the only one.
i just don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. i hear stories about people graduating then going to work stocking shelves at tesco; not that there is anything wrong with that (someone has to do it) but i came to university to make s... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:59

Folkestone: serious cold sore help please :( ?
okay so about 2 days ago I woke with a really weird feeling all over my lips, I've never felt it before. it felt like they were sore and dry, so I just kept putting chapstick on all day. then the next day tiny little blisters appeared ALL OVER my lips, like covered. you couldn't really SEE them but I can feel them when I press my lips together. so this started to worry me and I asked my dad what they were and he said cold sores. so he bought me abreva and I used it as directed. He told me it's because I'm sick, I have a sore throat and I keep coughing and I keep getting head aches and I'm very congested. And I KNOW it can't be herpes because I haven't done ... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:05

Folkestone: Healthcare in America?
Ok, I'm sure I'm going to get things stirred up but I just don't get why health insurance costs so much in America? Ours is $900 a month. My husband is self employed so there is no company to take a portion of that hit each month. But you have to have health insurance....right?
Wrong. I found out today through a separate conversation that a good deal of people I know don't have and can't afford health insurance.....so they go without.
So why are costs so high? Where is the red tape? Who is the middle man pocketing the dough that is causing the prices to be so high? Could a more socialist system be so wrong? My husband does ok in the workforce, but I've n... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:34
Folkestone: Should I stay in this new job?
Hi all, I have just started a new job as a researcher (market research), after a year of working on two business magazines as a staff writer.
I am feeling very confused because even though I have only been at this new job a few days and the learning pace is very gentle, I feel exhausted and emotionally drained. When I started, I had another newbie colleague as well, and I am starting to have negative thoughts that she is doing better than me - she seems to remember things we were told that I don't, gets what our colleagues are talking about while I'm still lagging behind, and just seems to be catching on faster.
I do not want to be hasty, but I am trying to figure out what ... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:19

Folkestone: Should I write a thank you letter for an interview at a company where I currently volunteer?
I am an intern at a very large bi-coastal PR firm in the L.A. office. There is a part-time position opening up which I will be applying for later today. I'm just curious wheither I should give a thank you letter to HR manager once I've given her my latest version of my resume or not. Is that necessary? Also, if you have any other suggestions for me that would be great! I really want the job but don't want to seem to eager. Thanks for you help!!!
Oh! I've got a tip for myself...correct all gramatical errors!!! My above posting should read, too eager not to eager. Doh!... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:04
