Folkestone: Going to a Trade Cosmetology School or Real Cos. School?
So i want to go to Cosmetology School.
I had already found the place a i want to go, it's only about 15 mins from home.
The place is called Vanity School of Cosmetology.
Its a little place inside of a strip mall and just looks like every other place. Nothing Special.
It will cost $7500 to go to this school but after I graduate they're not going to help me get a job.
I was talking to my boyfriends sister who goes to Aveda.
She's telling me to go to Aveda because its only about 30 mins to that school, its popularly known, they teach you well and they can help you get a job after you graduate or you can work for Aveda.
I'm starting to think that maybe Aveda ... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:15
Folkestone: Should I take a year off from college, or will this screw up my credits?
I am currently going to a college that I don't really like, I got into my first choice college...and for some reason picked this one! I am having a hard time here, and think since I am having a bad attitude about it...it makes it harder for me to want to meet people. So, I am planning on transferring next year but am unsure where I want to go.
So, I was thinking maybe when this year is over I should take a year off of college (I am a freshman right now), only if I get this job in Africa for a family friend. I feel like it would give me some time to mature more and grow as a person...but the two colleges I am looking at transferring to are on a semester schedule, while I am on a quart... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:31
Folkestone: Should I stop going to college for now because I don't know what to do?
Right now Im a student (4th year of college). Im a gogo dancer (non nude) (500-1000 dollars a night). My goal is to graduate college with a degree that leads to a career that allows me to make at least as much money as I do now. I love dancing and performing but unfotunately, its not a long term career. I love making money. I love shopping and what I like about my current job is 1. the fact that how much money I make depends on how well I do my job (its innovative), not an hourly wage. 2. its challenging and you get alot of recognition for being good at what you do. 3. I get to socialize with people and figure out what they like. 4. its glamorous...I LOVE experimenting with hair, makeup and ... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:25

I am XXXX an undergraduate student of Computer Engineering at the University of Tor Vergata. I am 22 years old and I live in Rome, my hometown.
Since I was a little child I wanted to travel, and spend some time in a foreign country and culture; I am an open-minded girl that likes to meet new people, cultures and styles of life.
This is the main reason because last year I decided to leave Italy and live one year outside my home, and my country. I reached the ... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:14
Folkestone: lonely and isolated when writing essays?
i'm a third year psych undergrad and have been quite happy at university 'til now. i feel tired all of the time and i have a lot of work at the moment.
i've fallen out with many of my friends as they have either graduated and found full time jobs or are still getting drunk and messing about; which i do not want to do.
it feels lonely when all you do is go to the library and study by yourself all day; i feel like the only one.
i just don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. i hear stories about people graduating then going to work stocking shelves at tesco; not that there is anything wrong with that (someone has to do it) but i came to university to make s... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:59

Folkestone: A few questions about a resume?
I am listing Experience before Education even though I am graduating from college in May and am seeking a position as a middle school teacher. Under my Experience Tab, should I put the year or the company information in the left-hand column?
I have heard that it is better to put the year in the left-hand column as it will catch the eye, e.g., employers are more interested in how long you retained a job more than the actual job itself. Is this true? Thanks for your help.
Also, for my contact information - should I put my home phone, my cell phone, and email address under my address? I feel as though I should limit my contact information so as not to appear too eager. What does a profess... 02 Dec 08, 05:12:05
Folkestone: I have a tax nightmare, a master's in accounting, and I still can't figure it out.?
Ok, I was a full time graduate student from January to July of this year. I graduated in May but took an extra course to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam. I'm an auditor though, so that's why this tax issue is eluding me :). I'm 21, and will not turn 22 until January of 2009. I did work while I was in school, and I have a full time job now. However, I did not provide over half of my support while I was in school. I plan on getting married in two weeks (December 15, 2008). My mom still wants to claim me for 2008. If I file married filing separately (as would be appropriate), can my mother still claim me as a dependent? Help!
Note: On my W-4 I have not claimed any allowances ... 02 Dec 08, 04:12:16

Folkestone: How can I retire early?
People have always told me that time is my greatest asset when it comes to planning my retirement. I will be 21 years old next year when I graduate college and begin a real, good paying job. Assume I earn about $60,000.00 per year (starting salary). What is an affordable method to finance my way into an early retirement?... 02 Dec 08, 04:12:32
