Exeter: Good place to meet females?
Hey
My situation is more unique when referring to the face value of my title.
I am a young male (20) and I have a job. Thing is, I am not a club or bar go-er type of person. I'm more of a regular guy and when I hang out with friends its usually for a beer at their house or lunch at a restaurant. Overall I'd say im just a regular guy.
I have Interests like video games, reading books (history) etc... and some people have told me to go to the Ladies Section in Grocery stores or Libraries and talk to girls in the sections im Interested in.
The problem with the above is I like things to be Organic, meaning the setting is natural not head-hunting in the shampoo section of Wal... 02 Dec 08, 01:12:22
Exeter: A decent entry-level job in public relations/communications?
I graduated with a BA in Public Relations in May. I have been doing an internship in the PR department of my city zoo. I wasn't able to find a full-time job when I graduated, which is why I took the internship. The problem is, it is unpaid, and the organization will not be able to offer me a position (money problems).
I am on the hunt for a full-time job again. Most of what I have seen requires years and years of experience. But how is everyone getting that if I can't get in entry level?? My question is, what is a good entry level job for someone in my position? Basically, when I am doing my job search, what should I search for (keywords.... public relations turns up... 02 Dec 08, 12:12:28
Exeter: Does a reference have to be a former supervisor?
I just lost my job because I had a a$%hole for a boss. I got along with everyone at my job EXCEPT FOR HER. Now that I'm job hunting (during this horrible recession!), I'm preparing my reference list and wanted to know if it is socially acceptable to use anyone that I used to work with as a reference, or must I used my former supervisor?... 02 Dec 08, 12:12:29

Exeter: Where are we going to end up at? serious marriage issues?
My husband drives truck over the road, his work was slow and he was home for 10 days until last evening. He left this morning to go to Texas, our mortgage is late almost 2 months, our car almost 2 months, bills, etc. I was laid off and am hunting for a new job desperately! I am willing to do anything and willing to get trained for anything. My husband, on the other hand, wants to drive truck. He wants to continue over the road, but he won't consider anything else. I'm the one with a Bachelor's Degree and I'm willing to do anything to have food on the table and keep our place/car. I have a garden on our backyard, where I grow my veggies, so that we can save on groceries. I... 01 Dec 08, 09:12:37
Exeter: How long does your clean house last?
My husband was recently laid off and has been on the hunt for a job ever since. Of course, being home more often, has lots of pros and cons to it. But I have to say, that while my husband was employed, we’d argue quite a bit about the house and how messy it always seemed to be. We both worked full time jobs so it wasn’t fair for him to always throw it in my face. ESPECIALLY having a toddler running around!
Well, my time has come to sit back and smile…..
My husband called this morning and told me he cleaned the entire house. Toys are in our son’s bedroom, tables are clean, dishes done, etc. So I gave him a cyber pat on the back. Or whatever you want to call that through the phon... 01 Dec 08, 08:12:48

We have been married for 15 years and from the beginning have had problems over his 35 year old daughter. His daughter lost her two children to her x-husband because she didn't want them bad enough to work a full time job to take care of the kids. He feels sorry for her but doesn't realize she did this to herself. When she has the kids she always has to work but will have off the week-ends she doesn't have them. I work two jobs plus I have to keep up my housework. My husband wants me to keep his grandchildren while he hunts he never takes... 01 Dec 08, 06:12:35

Exeter: Moving to Anchorage, Alaska in January, I have some questions!?
I've been reading through the posts on here and most of them regarding moving to Alaska (Anchorage municipality) have been very informative and helpful, but I just have a few questions that are more specific to my situation.
1. We are leaving in January, and the car my roommate has now is in no way fit to drive around in Alaska (regardless of how often they clear the snow). We will be flying into Anchorage and hope to find an INEXPENSIVE but moderately safe vehicle, that will last at least for temporary inner-city use only while job hunting and exploring the town. Any recommendations for used car places (or types) besides Craigslist? (which we do plan on utilizing). Also, how much d... 01 Dec 08, 12:12:02
