Exeter: How to gracefully decline church invites?
My husband and I have very eclectic religious beliefs - most of them non-christian. We recently moved to a small community where various neigbors regularly invite us to attend their various churches. We usually just thank them for the invitation in a way that avoids our really committing to anything, but lately they have become really persistent - it's getting to the point where we don't even want to go outside to work in the yard. How can we say no thank you without explaining that the reason we aren't attending is because we don't share their christian beliefs? I mean, they can plainly see that we don't attend any church - we rarely ever even leave ... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:12
Exeter: Where is a Catholic video site?
Are any of my fellow Catholics aware of a site where one can actually download Catholic videos and share them with others?
I like these, for instance, but can't seem to download them.

I have a social community for Catholics and want to upload some videos that are in the public domain or that are free.
Part two of my question: What do you think of those two videos???... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:19
Exeter: 1930's hairstyle (for musical) for long, straight hair?
My community musical society is putting on Crazy For You and I'm Irene. My hair is long (about a foot and a half) and straight and it doesn't curl very well. We only have a week before the show and there won't be any hair stylists there, we'll be expected to put it up ourselves.
If someone could suggest something suitable, stable and simple, I'd be tremendously appreciative!... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:07
Exeter: What Should I Do Is Very Annoying?
Why my step daughter is trying to destroy my marriage with her dad? Over the yrs she has been on strong depression medication which I was against. These medications made her even worse but it was her moms call and her dad and I couldn't do anything about it than. However, now as young woman 21 she is very disturb, scheming, awful human. She told my husband that I was sleeping with some guy in community college I teach which she goes to. Now, she is telling my husband that I’m having an affair with her b/f of 4yrs. I never did anything to her. I stayed out of her life always and let her dad and her mom make the decisions. I felt sorry for her at times ‘cause her mom was a 5th grad... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:46

Exeter: Do you think that shows like Flavor of Love and Charm school promote a bad image of Black Girls...?
Or do you think that they are good programmes that aim towards the black community or people of black origin to tell us that we should up our game and fight these stereotypes.
The worst portrayal was on Flavor of Love season 2, It was good but check this out. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vGeqMBgVJ4... and
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dSQ7sqck-G...
Does this proove that black girls are as aggressive as the media and people think, I know this might be truth in this but I know these girls are like this because of there upbringing and how we all have to proove we arent punks, what do you think? If our girls are like this, I mean proud and can stand up for themselves do you feel proud?

Exeter: Possible solution to gang violence?
Like a lot of people, I am sick and tired of hearing news about gangs and their moronic behavior. Injuring scores of innocent people every year and killing dozens of each other or innocent bystanders. Why should ANY member of ANY gang in the USA be treated any different from a terrorist? They commit domestic terrorism every day. In our malls, school and city streets. They harass, intimidate, abuse, assault and murder each other and others that live in their communities.
I say make them pay hard for their crimes and here are suggestions:
First offense: minimum 1 yr for petty crimes that do not involve injury. Added to national watched list.
First offense resulting in an injury or d... 02 Dec 08, 06:12:01
