Edinburgh: What to do with my life after college?
I graduated last summer from college and have been working with my Dad with the family business ever since. He's been extremely angry lately and has been giving me ultimatums every single day about this and that. I get yelled at in front of customers at work but I make him really good amounts of money sometimes. He's happy that it's working out but like days today he wants me to take over and I never really wanted to do that.
In a way I don't want to end up like him working almost 24/7 stressed out as ever at a seemingly dead end job. In another hand I don't want to see our little business that he built for so long go to waste. It's a rough time because of the ... 21 Mar 10, 04:03:28
Edinburgh: I want to volunteer abroad. How would I go about doing this? How would I convince my parents to let me go?
I really want to volunteer abroad. I feel that doing so would give a competitive edge over other college applicants. Plus i think it would be such a great experience. Instead of just sightseeing and lounging around in a hotel, I could be helping children or building houses in villages! How cool would that be?!
I don't know where to look for opportunities though. Are there certain agencies I have to go through? Where would I stay if I do get to go? At a hotel? Wouldn't that be really expensive. I know that there are no free volunteer abroad programs, but there have got to be some that don't cost that much right? Where would I be able to find those?
I think this would be... 21 Mar 10, 04:03:12

Edinburgh: College student- how to gain experience for pharmaceutical sales position?
I am currently finishing my first year at my Community College- working towards an A.S. in Biology. After I earn my 60 credits I will transfer to either our state or private college.
Are there any part time positions available for me? I am interested in pharmaceutical sales and was wondering if companies will hire college students in order to custom train them.
I see many job opportunities in my area for someone who already has a bachelors degree. Would it be improper to email these companies expressing interest?... 21 Mar 10, 01:03:49
Edinburgh: Columbus, Oh or Minneapolis,Mn? Which one should I move to?!?
I am planning on moving by the end of this year or the beginning of next year and needed a good place to live, I will be on my own for the first time in my life. I was looking at both of these and wondered which would be the better place to live. I will still be in college, I need a place that is low cost, lots to do for single college students, also a place with the better colleges, easy access to other cities and states, liberal not conservative, low to reasonable rent and good job opportunities. I like both cities and I like the idea of the midwest but which one is the better midwestern city? I like in California right now if that helps. I also like the cold and snow but is one worser tha... 21 Mar 10, 12:03:37
Edinburgh: Asking for advice. Should I try to contact my ex-boyfriend?
I was dating a guy two years ago. We were together for one year. One day unexpectedly I received a job offer to work abroad for one year. The opportunity was so good that I took it. My boyfriend wanted me to stay, but did not tell me. He said before I left that I must come back. I told him that I would come back.
We did not keep in contact while I was abroad due to some misunderstandings. It took me longer than expected to come back to my country, because I still had work to do. It took me one year and a half to go back. When I came my ex-boyfriend was angry and ignoring me. He looked at me as if I was invisible, but he still said hello, and asked for my number. However, he did not call me.... 21 Mar 10, 12:03:24
Edinburgh: Since Obama has destroyed the job market will the next wave of immigration be driven by free health care?
Will we see a new wave of immigrants swimming across the Rio Grande to get their free doctor visits at the expense of the rest of us?
“Democrats can keep claiming all they want that illegal immigrants will not be covered in this bill. But their actions speak louder than their words. Democrats have rejected opportunities to close the gaping loopholes in this health care bill that will allow illegal immigrants to participate.
“If President Obama is committed to ensuring that illegal immigrants do not benefit from the bill – as he says he is – why not include the same verification mechanisms in this bill as already exist for other federal benefits programs?
“What’s more... 21 Mar 10, 12:03:40
