Edinburgh: Relocate to Bisbane?
Hi everyone! My husband and I are living in Tasmania at the moment but thinking of relocating to Queensland. We lived in London for 10 years and moved here 2 months ago to have our baby. We really miss living in a bigger place, but we are worried about how expensive it would be. My husband is a carpet and vinyl layer since we came back, but worked within hospitality management for 10 years. Anyone knows anything about average pay on these jobs? And what about normal living expenses (rent, transport, etc) ? Thanks for now, hope someone can help us! :)...

Edinburgh: I want to be a leasing agent (maybe)?
I am looking for a completely new line of work because I no longer enjoy doing what I do now. Right now I work as a bill collector for auto loans but have been doing various forms of collections for the past 7 years. I have worked call centers for about 9 years (customer service and collections). I have also worked for 3 different hotels and the hotel work was by far the most enjoyable for me. The only reason I got out of hospitality is because it wasn't paying the bills. I have been looking for another job (I am still employed so this is not a desperate act) and came across some listings for apartment leasing agents. For those who do this as a living, I have a few questions: Does it pa...

Edinburgh: What kind of job will get me through college?
As soon as I graduate high school, my parents are moving out of state and I am staying here. I'm going to a two-year school for hotel/hospitality management and really wish to work in a nice resort type hotel one day, and there are plenty rather close to the area I live. I'm getting college paid for so long as I keep a B average, but I still am worried about other fees and obviously making rent and affording gas and insurance. Currently I work part time at Sonic, a drive-in fast food type place, making minimum, Which here is $6.55. Apartment rent would be about $700 to $800 divided by two with a roommate. Then insurance is $70 a month and gas runs me around $75 each...

I have been travelling to Australia for a long time and been to Sydney and Perth and stayed there for a long duration, this time I am thinking to move to Brisbane, but don't know its better then Sydney or not in jobwise and living standard wise. Edinburgh: Which area offers better quality of life for families Norfolk or Lynchburg, VA?
We are a young christian family looking to relocate, probably to one of these two areas. We are not familiar with either city except for any information that we've been able to find online. We're mainly wondering what the overall vibe is of the cities. Is either one more southern in terms of inhabitants, hospitality and that sort of thing? What we're mostly after is somewhere that feels like the south. Somewhere that has a nice community feel, but also has a lot to offer in terms of jobs. We would appreciate any information or even suggestions of other cities/towns in VA....

Edinburgh: Hospitality course, not sure?
im thinking about doing a hospitality course in yr 10 but im not sure. we went and had a tour there and it looks like it would be fun. i think it would be helpful later in life like when i move out of home so i know how to cook for myself and everything but im not sure if i want to follow through with it as a career. i do enjoy cooking and everything but i dont know whether i should or not. i also think that it would help me get a part time job because i would most likely end up getting one in a cafe or something. its just i dont know whether its worth it if i dont even know what i wanna do as a career. it costs $250 but my parents dont mind. also, i cant think of what i wanna do as a career...
