Edinburgh: How do you handle a friend like this?
I have a friend, when it's convenient for her that is. Over the past few years, I've been made to feel like a third class citizen or a member of her enteronge. Right now, yet again, she is around her champange taste, beer budget friends as I call them. If you don't have money, don't tell her she looks hot, don't think she a princess, then in her book, you are lower than s***. She is at least 8 years older than I am, and acts like a young, spoiled teenager. I am in my early 40's. Here is an example that happens frequently. When we have went out in the past, she wears next to nothing so as to draw attention to herself. However, when people look... 06 Sep 08, 06:09:09

Edinburgh: Easy Question! Do I stand a chance at getting a job in Fashion & Accessories if I'm only 15?
Hey, I know this is the wrong area to ask but I thought I'd get a better answer here. I'm going to apply at two shops that sell accessories, the thing is I know some places won't hire if your under a certain age and as I said I'm only 15 (16 next may).
So if any ones had experience or could help me out can you tell me if it's possible? Thanks. xx
Yeah well I live in Australia so legaly I can work no problem it's just most places like to hire older people.... 06 Sep 08, 02:09:25
Edinburgh: how about these 3 are they funny or not ?
1) Quickest Way?
Arnie, a young American, was on a short break holiday in Piddlehinton in the Dorset countryside. The next day he was going for a job interview in London but he needed to ask for directions, so he spoke to local farmhand, Martin. 'Yo, feller, could you possibly tell me the quickest way to London?'
Martin replied in a rich Dorset country accent, 'You driving or walking, lad?'
Arnie quickly replied, 'Driving.'
Martin, the farmhand nodded wisely, saying: 'Oooh aargh, that be certainly the quickest way'.

I need advice. I currently attend fashion industries high school in manhatten. I auditioned for the school so my cousin and I can reunite. We've been separated for 2 years due to our mothers, who are sisters, who hold a grudge against eachother. Long story. Also my parents do not allow me to hang out with my friends, who live in different burroughs, since im out of their reach. Edinburgh: Why don't I have a boyfriend?
Why can't I get a boyfriend! I have a lot going for me. I'm a sophomore varsity cheerleader, on the mock trial team, star on the tennis team, straight A student, don't drink, don't have sex, spend a lot of time in my church, spend a lot of time volunteering, and have a good job. I care so much about everything and everyone. I don't know what's wrong with me.
I'm not ugly. I'm 5'5 and 115 lbs, with tan skin, dark brown hair, and green eyes.
I'm a very deep and passionate person and I'm looking for true love, but I can't find it anywhere. Even though I'm popular (not full of myself), none of the boys seem interested.

Edinburgh: How to get a entry Level Job in a Art gallery, studio or muesum?
I'm a self taught artist and i want to work in the art industry. I have a BA in Communications but no art degree. I wouldn't mind being a receptionist in a art gallery or museum but there doesn't seem to be any opportunities on line for my city. So I thought about going the old fashion route and mailing resumes. Should I make the resume colorful , instead of the Manila version? Should write a cover letter explaining my passion for art due to the fact that I have never worked in a artistic atmosphere before? My professional background is in the Insurance industry and I have done some retail work but I'm looking for a career change. I'm a little intimidate the only kno... 05 Sep 08, 10:09:51
